I respect the soldiers I really do , some wars and invasions have to be questioned and always always but have the majority of support of the population before any involvement as its very very difficult to pull out once you have started and guess who pays the price ? The soldiers .
I know many people in the forces and they do not want to be treated as Kings , they simply want respect and fair pay for what they do .

I'd like to say I can't believe what I'm reading, but I'm afraid that this is a viewpoint held by far too many people. It's how the government wants us to think, because it helps justify their actions.

That's a Heysel Stadium reference. That's a little tasteless.

 

But it's their choice to go into the army, no ones forcing them to take that wage. They should be given opportunities when they leave the army, the same way disabled, students, homeless etc should be given opportunities. They don't justify any preferential treatment these days.

 

It's important to remember that the military already takes a massive chunk out of the budget. Probably too big a chunk. It's just not feasible to increase the funding even further.

Yes it is tragic what happened in Heysel, the Liverpool fans involved were a disgrace. However why do you feel the need to use it against all Liverpool fans?
