Was just wondering whether Liverpool fans would be cheering on Man Utd in the Champions League as they are the sole English club left in the competition or whether, given their rivarly, they hope Man Utd will fail. Thanks.

Used to support all English clubs in Europe, but then witnessed some of the true venom of some rival fans, and the fact that our rivals don't support us. Part of me still wants you to win to show the Prem is best. I don't realy care, as long as you don't win the whole thing. Was happy you beat Chelsea though.

I've just been reading about how Gibson had to shut his twitter account almost as soon as he'd opened it after abuse from Utd fans. And not a squeak from Rio in his defence. Classy.
Oh yeah, Rio standing up and saying "leave poor Darron alone" is really going to help Gibson's standing amongst United fans But yes, the United fans giving Gibson abuse are the worst kind of knobheads. In my opinion they're as bad as the fans who used to boo Fletcher, Lucas and Eboue back when they were struggling. In my opinion, unless the players isn't putting enough effort in, you should get behind him or shut your mouth. I'm angry like that.
I said as much in a Mirror comment, even though it amuses me. It's one thing to have doubts about a player but another to embarrass the club.
You should always back your own players - even if you think they are not up to the standard required for your team. Getting on the players backs like that is only going to undermine their confidence.
