I was fortunate to have missed that game, never even saw it on tv because I had tickets to see Rush.

Well I had my first season ticket when I was 3, which was 1984. Which means through the 90's I saw us get pumped at home nearly every other week! eek!

Confident about tonight though. Benfica have never scored at Parkhead, and my money is on a cheeky 2-0 win.

Don't have great expectations for tonight's result but looking forward to getting along to the game. These CL nights are special.

And Venom - you've only seen Celtic lose at home twice?! Wish I could say the same, I've seen us pumped by all sorts of keech <laugh>

My first season going to games was the last one at the old CP. But can't really remember much of that. Remember the season we were at Hampden more.

Pretty confident for tonight. Especially with it being the first CL game proper in a while, the crowd should be right behind the team from the get-go.

I've been to over 120 games since 1996 at CP as well. Never been to a Huns game and been lucky with the Euro games I went to.

My worst memories aren't all defeats to be honest. I remember us playing Queen's Park a few years back (under Strachan I think), and they battered us for the entire second half (although we won 2-1 I think in the end). There was only about 20,000 there. I remember thinking "what the **** am I doing here"?

I've only ever missed 1 or 2 games up at the Caley stadium and we've been dreadful every single time I've been there.

The last twice (the two games I've missed) we've pumped them. I reckon I'm a bad luck charm.

Can't get tickets for Caley any more the lassie I knew in the ticket office jacked it in.

I'm so nervous, it's not real.

I've not been this nervous for a game for years.

Totally hyper today in work which isnae good cos I've got tonnes to do if I want out of here in time.

Nothing is going to interfere with my plan to neck 8 Jack Daniels between 18:00 and 19:25ish

I'm the most relaxed I've ever been for a CL game <laugh>

Mainly because I expect a pumping so anything less will be a pleasant surprise.

I'm concerned I may not get a few pints in me. My tickets are in castlemilk, I need to leave work around 6 don't think I'll get out sooner, drive in peak traffic to Castlemilk, then drive to partick dump car, hit pub then get train at either 10 past to bridgeton or 20 pat to bellgrove but the bellgrove one I'll have to run to make kick off.

I haven't had the chance to think about the game yet, too busy worring about getting a few beers.

Venom, your hard line story in Inverness I can relate to , I saw Celtic 5 times in Germany , Dortmund x 2 , , Colonge , Bremen and Hamburg beaten in every game without scoring . stuggart on the road to Seville I missed due to my daughter being 2 months old ( my wife wouldn't let me go !!! ) Celtic scored 2 goals in the first 9 minutes .

Harry, some times the wive can cause a lot of bother.
That bastard Trevor has some cheek, his boys are not able to compete in the Ramsdon's Cup. A competition for part timers
with double contracts. His team it seems can only play as full time professionals on cheating contracts. Yet this thing
Trevor thinks he can post on an Elite thread.

I only just realised last night that Tuesday's game is an early kick-off <doh>

    Boss duly emailled <ok>

I'll be in early and my calendar will be busy with, erm, a "360 degree feedback session" for the last couple of hours - always a good one to use as no-one will be remotely interested in that enough to ask me who it's with/what it's about <doontherefurdancin'>
