I wouldn't want any of the names touted by the press

Strachan (He's gone mental in recent years)

Souness (Done **** all in a decade)

McLeish (Walked out after 7 months for ****ing Birmingham <doh>)

At least when Smith left Scotland it was for a club he had a history with. I'd take him back as Scotland manager in a heartbeat. Whatever you think of the guy, he's one of the best about at getting the most out of players.

McInnes is a good shout. <ok>

Can't see any of the EPL managers jacking it in for the Scotland job. Lambert and Moyes are way out of our reach now.

Even Owen Coyle probably wouldn't take it now.

That's been sorted. Pump McCoist and bring in McCall.

    For Skatlin or Ranjurs?

Remember his 4 strikers formation he used at Aberdeen? They still couldn't score. <DarrenMackie>

It's far too early into the season to talk about ditching McCoist. He's put together an almost entirely new team, and it's going to take some time for them to gel. That said, it's imperative that we win promotion first time round so we can't afford to fanny around. With the level of players he's brought in, there can be no excuse if we haven't broken away from the pack by Xmas. If I was Charles Green, I'd give him till then to prove himself.

Still think Rangers will win the league at a canter, so it's a bit early to be talking about getting rid of McCoist. In fact, hasn't he even had a better league start then Lennon this year?

It's the cup record that's been woeful. How many times have Rangers been pumped out long before the medals are handed out since he took over?

    Ally dusny do cups <laugh>

Promotion is the aim this season, and while I currently don't share your optimism that we'll win it at a canter, I do think we'll win it.

you will win it at a canter

as you should with a wage bill greater than the combined annual turnover of the entire division <ok>

Well he wasn't that far off the mark <whistle>

In all seriousness you should win the league but would you be confident of winning the second division next year with the same players? (transfer embargo till Christmas)

    Just asking

    In recent years?

    He's always been mental.

    Exactly.
