Since it's still 11 days until practice 1 at Turkey I've decided to make this post for you all to get things off your chest with things that have bugged you over this season or previous.

Try not to make this a flame war please we are all buddies here.<rose>

My major F1 problem: "Why does a rookie who nearly wins his first world title in a dominant car classify it being "senna skill" with a majority of fans, yet another young man who also gets a dominant car for the first time aswell, is classified the cars doing..."

    Something like that...

This is not meant to be an attack on any drivers just the BS around the whole F1 in general, thank you.

What grinds my gears is people who steal line of Family Guy... :p
I'll say Hamilton fanboys, dont get me wrong he is a good driver but everyone who says he is by far the best driver ever and thinks everyone else is ****.

Another thing that grinds my gears is that there is never anything about F1 to watch when it isnt on.

Frank Williams' voice. I don't dislike the guy, but his voice really grates on me, I just want to stick some liquid down his throat, it reminds me of the sound old VW beetles make, it just sets my nerves on edge.

Mark Webber, because he's the first to find a camera in which to blame everyone or gob off, and his dirty driving that everyone seems to ignore, (except my dad, who is a big fan as he's always liked a dirty driver)

and as above, the Hamelots can really get under my skin (as I guess they do anyone who posted on 606), they almost took away any pleasure I get from watching hm win.

I also used to dislike seeing Anthony Hamilton all the time, I was glad when they parted company, but now I wish he was back, at least he had his sons best interest at heart, unlike his new guttersnipe manager.

McLarens new penchant for 'gobbing off' about Redbull

Martin Whitmarsh going on and on and on and on and on about Red Bull's front wing.

Alonso being the "most complete driver on the grid." What the **** does that even mean?

The BBC's constant beating up on Schumacher. I didn't like the bloke first time around, and I'm pleased he's being humbled by his teammate this time around, but at the end of each race (particularly if McLaren haven't won it) the Beeb's first point of call seems to be "lets see how badly Schumi has been doing." The worst example was Hungary last year, when they showed the highlights of him trying to run Rubens into the wall for about three quarters of an hour, when all people really wanted to see was the mayhem that happened during the pitstops.

what grinds my gears ... : As silver arrow said this constant referral to Senna, i was only young when Senna was racing, i have respect for the guy he was fast and such a loss to F1 for him to die, but we cant keep referring him to today's drivers, for all we know he could have been miles faster or slower, different era and different cars you just cant compare.

    Waiting for races !!

    1) People belittling Schumacher because of his 2010 results-controversial tactics.
    2) People that only started watching F1 when Hamilton won the 2008 championship.
    3) People that pick up and feed on stereotypes.
    4) Drivers that complain and moan when things don't go to plan.
    5) People crying over tough/harsh moves THIS IS F1!!
    6) Commentary team missing something so obvious on track.
    7) People that attack one person for a move and ignore it when their "favourite driver does it".

1/ People going on about Schumacher's previous statistics who seem unable to accept his new statistics.

It should be plain obvious that those who felt that statistics were previously rammed down their throat when they felt statistics were only part of the story, have at least an equal opportunity to use the new evidence which supports the idea that statistics are only part of the story.

P.S. Manny: please don't take this personally. You've chosen to align yourself with a contentious character. It should be expected that he will get flak and you should not consider this to have anything to do with you. I'll say it as plainly as possible, lest there be any misunderstanding:
I do not like the guy or consider him as a genuine All Time Great. But it's only my opinion and I accept that others will have different opinions.

Other than the above reference to idolatrous distortions, I am very content with most things now that Jonathan Legard has been removed from the presentation of what represents the top of my sport.

The incompetence of Japanese F1 teams, Toyota pull out of F1 the year when a Japanese star like Kamui comes in and sets the world alight being a future WDC contender. Same thing goes with Honda pulling out and making Ross Brawn a **** load of money at the end of the season.

Both of these teams could of had their chance at the big time but they didn't.

    - Gaps over two weeks between GPs
    - Jake Humphrey
    - Senna comparisons
    - Fanboys
    - Valencia GP
    - Hamilton out of the car
    - When everything appears to be going awesome in a race for you favourite driver(s)/team(s) and then it all turns around and kicks you in the nards.
    - Nico Rosberg not winning a race yet.
    - Commentators getting excited in quali when a driver puts it on P1 when there is still loads of time to go in the session.
    - When commentators miss something obvious.
    - Pay drivers.
    - Vettel finger.

Sure you can ignore the stats, but these are ones updated after the 2011 Chinese GP, whether you enjoy them or not it's your choice but they will remain there in the history books until they are rubbered away and rewritten under a new name.

Manny, I'm not ignoring the statistics! How can anyone ignore such an impressive set?
The statistics are astonishing! I completely agree with you here.

As I say, please don't take it personally. I know you want to defend him all the time but really; he can fight his own battles.

I meant..."if you feel stats don't mean much", anyway what part of my message showed I was taking it personally, I said it was your choice anyway and I hinted at somebody else taking the records in the future...

Just to add to the moans:

-Lack of technical explanations on the coverage
    -Worse still, over-simplification of things
-Constant references to Twitter-its good, but not that good.
-Impenetrable nature of the FIA and stewards, I wish there was more communication with them
-Constant meddling with race results after they finish
-Eddie Jordan always thinking he's right

Another one is when there's a yellow flag, and then it goes and nothing is said about it

So true ;) that's probably the worst one,
and that the cameras never show what has occurred on the track..

Drivers that don't see the bloody blue flag and ruin the race for it.

That, and the cameras following a lead car when its 10 seconds clear of anyone else, whilst a 5 car battle is going on further down the field. Also, references to overtakes that sound impressive, and no replay, especially for the new teams. I remember in China hearing on the commentary that a Lotus had made an overtake in an unusual place, but there was no replay!

I really want to know if the commentary is connected to the cameras. That would explain it!
