Yeah I can see your point but the Royal Family still fight for a lot in this country. Not to mention the revenue the Royal Wedding is bringing in anyway! Hundreds upon thousands will be coming from all over the world just to catch a glimpse, if it wasn't for the huge tourist attraction of them, this country would be like Sunderland all over.

Yeah but I don't think I'm going to go. They're showing Shrek on BBC1 on Friday. I know I've got it on DVD but whenever I watch a DVD on my telly, there's always a faint outline of whatever's playing on terrestrial, it's kind of offputting so I'm looking forward to watching it live. I know it's not really 'live' but you know what I mean.

Anyway, it's on telly isn't it? I don't really like London because you can't find a sandwich for any less for £3 and the buskers are too classy to accept anything less than paper money.

The Royals don't bother me one single bit. I would like to thank them for the wedding this Friday as I will be working 9.5 hours at 2.5 times the going rate. My biatch loves them however so she'll be in front of the tele watching it and sobbing and all that **** that women do at weddings.

Why are people anger at the royal family? I am watching many England comedies (help learned English jokes) and they always popular on television. Is it for being happened before 9 clocks 'waltershed'?

I liked the drinking game idea they suggested on Ten O'Clock Live. Every time the commentators liken Kate Middleton to Princess Di, or mention them both in the same sentence you have to down a drink. Reckon you'd be ****faced by 11am and you could sleep through the rest.

Apparently (heard on the news) 2 billion people worldwide are expected to watch at least some of it. That cant be right can it? A third of the planet doesnt care do they?

Don't get me wrong. Its the institution of the monarcy that I don't like. As individuals they are ok at worst and quite decent at best and they have the worst job in the world. I pity them for all the attention and stick they get as individuals.

The international goodwill they generate and tourist revenue are the only arguments left for keeping them in my view so I take that point. I still think that given another generation or two their days will be numbered though. Then they can retire into obscurity and no doubt be much happier on a personal level.

  10. **** the Royal Family. We don't need Kings and Queens and it's about time we stopped living in the stone age.

Kings and Queens have no authority anymore, and they lack significance in this country.

I'm also pissed off that our national anthem. Everyone elses national anthem is about pride of their country. What's ours about? The salvation of one woman, who means **** all really!

The NA needs to be changed, because when i sing it, i want to feel passionate about the country i was born in, not praying to a deity that doesn't even exist to save one person!

That's because it'll be the only thing on TV everywhere! So if your TV is on, your going to be watching the wedding.

You realise Geordies are called Geordies because we sided with King George I in the Civil War?

In actual fact, I have absolutely no opinion about the Royal Family whatsoever. But I enjoy the extra day off.

The fact is, cost of this wedding or not, the Queen (and by proxy the Royal Family) bring in a lot more money into the economy through tourism than they take out. She's got no real power, so who cares?
