People will look at Henderson more harshly than other players just because he is a local lad and just as many people will give him more leeway again just because he is a local. That will lead to very interesting debates, for me he needs to be more consistant, forward looking in his passes, be prepared to get his foot in and make a telling tackle now and again AND to play in his best position out on the wing. I've been critical of him this season as he's performed below par in many games, but I still have a lot of belief that he will be the future of this club and will go on to great things. As for Bruce................ I think the club will rightly look at it at the end of the season and judge it then. But reading a lot of peoples opinions it's clear he has lost a significant number of fans who post on here and I'm not sure if he can ever win them back. I read somewhere (on here I think) that in the last two seasons we have had a 24/25 game winless streak which by anyones standards is shocking. The majority of those the players have been clueless (tactically and seemingly unable to put together a string of passes) and thats down to the manager, He's (on paper) put together a very decent team but if he's unable to get them to play as team, to motivate them and to give them the tactics to beat the opposition then he has to leave, but all of this is complicated by the injuries. An unusually high number of them have disrupted the flow of the team and ****ed us up good and proper. So after my little ramble (sorry been drinking) the bottom line is I'm still not sure the right way to deal with Bruce, benefit of the doubt or **** him off? I'm just glad it's not my decision to make
YES MATE nearly everyone i read has changed thier opinions from 3 months ago, just goes to show if you drop the ball, its hard to regain controll
I have always backed Henderson, no player should ever be undroppable though. We could all see he wasn't perfoming. He should of been on the right with Riveros having a fair crack in the middle. As for Bruce. A season is 38 games home and away, not a 12 game difficult run. After 38 games if we finish top 10, keep him. If we don't it will be hard to justify him keeping his job.
I definitely don't want Henderson to go, unless a big offer comes in. He's young, so he's bound to be inconsistent, and even though he's had a **** past couple of months, form is temporary, but class is permanent. He's a very good player who's been played out of position. Which brings me onto Bruce. I still think he's the man for next season, if we finish in the top ten. Excluding the past couple of months, this is the best season we've had in ages. I'm not so sure what happens to him if we finish on page 2, though.
