Humphrey wasn't employed by the BBC purely to present F1, he was there long before they regained the TV rights and has frequently disappeared to present other. I doubt this has any impact on whether the BBC intend to keep F1 or not and imagine he's probably moved because BT have offered him more money. I've never really liked him anyway so I'm not particularly bothered.

If they get McKenzie to present it, i'll bow down at the Murdoch altar, and apologise for all the mean things i've ever said about Cheezenby. She's worse than hopeless.

True, she seems to stutter a lot and has little if no chemistry with Coulthard or Jordan. I say just give it to Legard to see if he is as rubbish at presenting as he is commentating

Also for a laugh I would like to see Ortis Deley maybe given the role (guy from the gadget show) his presenting for channel 4 at the world champs last year was legendary http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xkswky_ortis-deley-presenting-masterclass_fun

I'd prefer James Allen. Maybe Ben Edwards could step up, he's presented before for BTCC and that.

Agreed.BBC highlight coverage has been good and still prefer BBC to sky. I have skygo thanks to my brother because i still wouldn't pay for it on principle and the little matter of cost. Apart from live practice, qualifying and raceday the F1 channel is pants. Same old same old constantly. But on those that the BBC cover this year i still prefer to watch them as opposed to Sky. So going to miss Jake. Him DC and Eddie are a great together impo. Feels a bit like the time Rosenthal was going. Just hope his replacement is as good as he's been. The fact its a childhood dream to take up this offer i can't fault him. Good luck to him. FFS guys don't start freaking me out with conspiracy theories on what it might mean for the future of F1 on the beeb. I won't be able to take....and if anyone mentions Jonathan Legard...oh noooo not him again never fekn him again please god no...slits wrist quietly...

Simply incredible! If he replaces Jake Humphrey, I swear I'll not want the race to start! Watching him is unbelievably entertaining.

I've just thought of a way to please everyone.

I think you'll find it quite brilliant.

We can have Clarkson, Flabio, Lee, or indeed anyone!

    How, you ask? Simple.

I've thought of the perfect replacement, the only problem is, he's still driving.

Lee McKenzie is the bookies favourite to get the job, and there have been some good shouts for his next replacement.

For me, the commentary team this year has been a let down. I can't stand Couthard with all this 'holding my breath' lark and his voice is quite irritating too. AND ITS NOT THE FACT HES SCOTTISH!! I was expecting big things from Ben Edwards, but he's been disappointing. I feel as though he struggles to deliver the actual performance during the race.

As for presenting, I believe that James Allen should become presenter because I think his in-depth knowledge would help people understand a lot more about the sport. I would move Ben Edwards to 5 live and I know it would never happen, but I would like to give a shout out to Jack Nicholls who commentates on the F2 Championship. I have been very impressed with him. May lack knowledge, but is a definite one for the future.

As for the BBC altogether, I think that it won't be long before they get rid of it altogether. There is no way that SKY will ever give up F1 and the future lies with them. So it's not long before people will have to pay for Skyif they want to watch F1, in my opinion.
