Cheers for the Paloma, going down slowly due to large tequila consumption over the weekend.

we need a win tonight, otherwise a few eyebrows might be raised in Zola's direction. COYH

The Pozzo family will have to move quickly as Sean Dyche might be working for Chesterfield.

Morning all, feeling disappointed that we didn't get a point from the game last night. I cannot remember one that has divided opinion so much, very often from people who tend to agree. It is difficult to form your own view when you have to rely on Jon Marks, but I have found over time that his commentary is factual and not unduly biased. He thought that we deserved at least a point and could have sneaked a second, while at the same time stated that Brighton had chances to win by a greater margin.

Overall his judgement was that it was encouraging, with some players showing that they do have a great deal of quality. Still work in progress, but you can see how GFZ wants to play the game.

This morning I read some who agree with that, and do not expect an immediate win every game team. On the other hand there are those who have branded it as total rubbish, want Zola out, and are not sure that they want to go again if this is the passing game that will be put before them.

Having got that off my chest I will enjoy my coffee, thanks ak. Bright and sunny here, with a high of 26C forecast. You can tell that autumn is on it's way. :(

A disappointing result...and then M3 was closed from J7 so didn't get home until after midnight. The worst thing about last night for me was the uncertainty of the second half. No-one seemed able to lift the players and the body language of quite a few suggested they were too easily disspirited. I haven't looked at the match thread yet but to me Brighton always looked as though they could win the game and certainly should have scored at least twice more. We had too few shots on target to suggest we were going to win and from where I sit neither of our penalty appeals looked giveable...not that some of the ref's other decisions were very certain.

Blimey, it's been quiet on here today. I've been up to my eyes all day in madness and just relaxing some. I had a similar problem to Theo as my junction on the M1 was closed and I to go up 1 junction through more road works and go across country.
Looking forward to a better result on Saturday - COYH

Morning all, bright and sunny here, but a freshness can be felt in the mornings now that has been missing for a number of months. ;)

Today the first catalogue arrived in the post from England inviting me to buy Christmas presents. :( The shops here never started to display their Christmas wares before the first week in December, but as they try to get their hands on peoples cash, it now is becoming common to see things around the middle of November. This can help us as we often come over to the UK to visit all of the family early in December, and try to buy items that are not found so often in the English high street.

Need some coffee to get waken the senses this morning. Watching vapour trails is not mind stretching.

Reasonably sunny this morning...enough for the farmer to bale up a second hay crop (for silage I imagine) in the field at the end of the garden. Time to turn my attention to Mrs H's birthday present - something tasteful, expensive, long-lasting - so I suppose chocolate won't do <laugh>

Afternoon H. Re your comments on Leo's thread. Im not noisy am i? You must be thinking of someone else. Also I think the ref will be getting a bit more abuse. Saturdays ref has given 15 yellow cards in 4 matches already, and only has 4 games experience in the championship.
