I enjoyed it, definitely a turn your brain off movie. Extremely cheesy in places some of the lines are worthy of a Stallone movie. But all in all good harmless fun!

Oh and it’s got Shannon from Lost in it…I love her!

It's okay, Luv. Decent from Guy TBH, but he can't quite rescue the film. He plays a wise-cracking anti-hero and the film is like Die Hard in space. It's not quite as good as I just made it sound, but it's worth a watch if you do not expect anything special.

Total rip off of Battle Royale, which is a far superior film. Watch that instead, Sweats. Hopefully watching hunger games hasn't ruined it for you.

Yeah, I thought that. Based on a book by someone, as film usually are. I read a book with a similar plot by Lee Childs, but the film wasn't based on it though, unfortunately. It was a Jack Reacher novel, which are pretty good reads.

Just saw a trailer for the first Jack Reacher film being made and laughed extremely hard. People were looking at me like I was mad so I had to explain it to a few of them. In the books, Jack Reacher is a muscular 6' 5", ginger and an ex MP (military police). So Hollywood got who to play him? No other than ... 5' 0", skinny, dark haired Tom Cruise! Casting gone mad. <laugh>

If you haven't already seen it, I'd recommend the film In Time. Decent plot, fairly decent film. Wasn't expecting much as Trousersnake was in it, but he's a better actor than singer. Not hard that though. <ok>

Yes. Some people don't like subtitle films, but I was brought up watching subtitled Bruce Lee films (F*cking hated the American voice over versions as they often changed the script!), so I don't mind them. <ok>

I agree Battle Royal is great and The Hunger Games is a similar story and nowhere near as good. Had to laugh at the kids who got a coathanger and a pan lid as weapons. <laugh>

I'm not great at subtitled films really..

Hunger games reminded me a bit of the running man and was there a film where people get dropped on an island where they all kill each other??

Tonight I will be mostly watching the United game on an outside tv at a boozer where they sell the best bitter in the country which is Bathams bitter.. may take a drinking mit <ok>
