Nicknamed "Gerd" because he scores like him and scores consistently. I think we have the next Klose possibly on our hands, just a natural scorer.

  4. Hopefully he can make an impact against Young Boys and get a shot at the first team then <ok>

I hope it doesn't limit Morgan's chances though. He reminds me of David Villa (in terms of movement and style rather than ability).

I would like to see them together at some point but if both make it through then that is homegrown talent ( Yesil not as much but young, you get the point) that can provide quality service and depth at a position we are pish at. Imagine in a few years Suarez, Yesil, Morgan, and possibly a llorente/soldado/etc player. Could be very good.

I don't think we have much choice really, Morgan and Yesil will get chances to play in C.O.C cup and the Europa league now at least until Jan. Hopefully both of them can take the chances.

One thing I wish we did a better job of was loaning these type of players out. Look at Sturridge and Welbeck as prime examples of a solid loan spell did to their development. Wilshire as well. Unfortunately we can't do that since we couldn't get Dempsey or anyone in for that matter.

Spot on. Shelvey has been developing nicely since his loan spell at Blackpool.

  9. You also have to have a reputation for producing this quality young players to be able to get other Premier League clubs interested <ok>

The important thing about loaning players out is that they go to a team where they will be coached in a method that is consistent with our own.

Btw, ( off-topic, go figure) did Wilson go on loan somewhere?

pacheco went to norwich and started out well but faded right? Ayala went on loan and did well enough to be bought, San Jose is now a good defender in la liga and he was on loan at first. Robery how we let Kacilnik ( sp) go for absolutely free to Fulham due to ****ing Hodgson <grr>

I just hope we develop Morgan and Yesil correctly.

There was the Shelvey to Swans but he broke into the first team ahead of Hendo ( who looks like he could now use a loan!).

Can't think of many teams who focus on the possession aspect of the game in the prem that aren't our rivals.

  13. Players can still go out on a emergency loan but (and I may be wrong here) not to another Premier League team.

That's why I used the phrase "consistent with" rather than "the same as".
Everybody's different, but if we want our young players to grow into our style of playing, there's no point in sending them somewhere where they'll have hoofball drummed into them. Especially at an impressionable age.
Agree about Hendo- he's slipping down the pecking order and could do with some competitive game time.

  15. Could do with our players not being called up for England duty then...<whistle>
