Two stories that caught my eye over the weekend and made me smile www.metro.co.uk/sport/oddballs/9121...updates-on-burgler-trying-to-break-into-house www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896premier.../reading-captain-mcanuff-premier-league-wages / or google McAnuff Premier League Wages - McAnuff is Enough.
Haha thanks Tickler, the Owen one was funny and good to see nothing bad happened, just a shame the fooker will most likely get off and end up burgling someone else without the security Owen's got. I never knew Owen was an accomplished boxer too, might have been funny if he had got in.
Actually maybe it would have been better if Owen has let him get in and take a few things with the Police outside waiting. Now that would have made great TV. I bet oithers give Owens house a wide berth now. Lol.
If I was Owen I wouldn't have bothered with the police and just had some fun and tormented the guy instead, teach the thieving little **** a proper lesson hell never forget. In response to the mcanuff thing, wouldn't it just be absolutely hilarious if sky pulled out of their premier league funding. It could happen any season...
I would not be holding my breath on that PB. If sky ever do then Al-Shazeeraa TV will take over. Rumours have it that the PL have been told that AL-SHAZ-TV will bid over sky for the next contract. I agree though sky's years could now be numbered. But it was a good point made by McAnuff. The cost of watching all teams in person is way too high. IMO..... PL clubs should have a £30 limit. Championship clubs £20 limit. League One £15 limit League Two £10 limit. BUT...Every club can ring fench 6 home games per season when they can charge what they want to charge.
So teams with big away supports have their fans right royally ****ed because every team chooses them in their 6 games?
Yes. Swings and roundabouts. I would not care being ripped off for 6 away games IF the rest were cheaper. Look at the overall picture to judge its merits. Both Manchester clubs and Chelsea fans Pay top price wherever they go. Maybe Wigan is the exception. ? Like it or not WE ARE ALL being royally ripped off. Tonight is a case in point.
I think you made that one up Maybe you are referring to the Broadcaster based in Doha, Qatar? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera
No you numpty, in that scenario where teams were forced to reduce the price for 17 games the other 6 would be even more expensive to recover the lost takings from the rest of the games. All the teams would be likely to pick their 6 games from the same 7 or 8 opponents as they'd want the games with the biggest gate, so if you're supporting one of the best supported sides away from home you'd be more likely to be paying more at about 20 games than you do now and then get 3 cheaper because maybe Brighton decided that our game on a Friday night the week before Xmas wasn't worth using as one of their expensive ones.
