is your home , is it true I have to wear Cuban heels and nylon trousers to get passed the border ? Is there still a following for the Noddy Holder look down there and is Noel Edmonds the number one dj ?
Cuban heels are from CUBA, not portsmouth - the clue is in the name. There is no border. Did you study Geography at all? Noddy Holder was from Birmingham, not Portsmouth. Noel Edmonds is currently a Television presenter, not a radio DJ. Anything else?
What does it matter what era I was born in? You original post asked about the present day. All your "presumptions" were inaccurate and wrong. I was merely trying to aid you in a safe trip to our city........and to educate you a bit also.
Yes................. to all the above. I would urge you to make sure you do dress appropriately and have big hair
Thanks 3rd eye , I have heard you all like a bit of the old sailor boy down there but this is not that sort of trip , no sir no blue oyster for me .
Sailor boys not allowed to have big hair though. You need to make sure you fit in properly. Hipster flares wouldn't look particularly out of place either.
Cool so I have my heels on , Bolan hair and my shirt tied up in a knot showing my flat stomach I should be all ok for business ? You guys still rock down that on the Island of love , on the mainland its all stress and work , so happy to see you have it all groovy down there .
Oh, Barry! I used to have a knitwear tank top with three big stars on the front of it. High (four button high) waistband, Lionels. Boat shoes. Where did it all go wrong?
That was my School uniform! As long as the tank top was hidden under my blazer. And the tie had a knot so big, only a little piece used to stick out at the bottom.
Pm you had a four button high waist, mine were only three. Your flares must have been about the size of a two man tent. P
So Portsmouth is stuck in a 70s time warp? I've never noticed, time to break out my tie-dyed t-shirts I think.
