Agreed. Dudgeon can also do the same on the left wing. Long may 3 - 5 - 2 be used.

No complaints, if I wanted to be a prick i'd say it works with the players we have now, but it wouldn't have worked when you first suggested it.

    But I don't want to be a prick, so I won't say it :p

    Well dont then. Lol.

It wont work with Dawson for obvious reasons as we saw @ Doncaster.

The good thing with having Rose - Dawson and even McShane on the bench is that Steve Bruce can totally shut up shop at the end if he wants to and save legs for sunday.

<laugh> You agreed it was **** until we signed Quinn and Elmo, which it was.

Obviously, now we have players that suit the system it's working well, I do worry slightly about what will happen if we lose a couple of those players to injury, we don't have much in the way of replacements for a couple of the positions.

No i did not and No it wasn't. You need to do better research. I got hammered for suggesting that we play it but it does work as has been proved and has nothing to do with Quinn and Elmo for starters. Steve Bruce started this from the Blackburn game using Rosie and Dudg as the wing backs. But Chuck in Mckenna's suspension and injuries and SB needed new players and Quinn / Elmo have fitted in very well.

Most teams play only one up top hence why we only need 3 at the back. Of course having Quinn and Elmo makes us so much stronger and better.

McKenna is available again after tonight. Rosie can do the Elmo role and i would like to see Townsend tried as a wing back at some point(if SB does not loan him out).

3-5-2- is the way forward and long may it be so.
