This rumour wasn't started by journalists at all, it was started by Scott jones on twitter, I thought we were all agreed as to that's hand jobs credentials. The only journalist to comment was David McIntyre, the same journalist who's said since mittal joined the goons 5 years ago, that the mittals are mythical and have absolutely nothing to do with the club apart from name and a few shares. Well he's since been proved wrong hasn't he? He did say that it's his belief that the mittals will pull out, but he's said that for 5 years and yet to be proved right. And he did say that's his belief and not based on the current rumour started by Scott jones who has been sniping at the club since his mate palidini left. I'm not saying that mittal won't pull out in the future, but I am absolutely bemused as to how some of you can panic so much and read so much in to things based on absolutely nothing!!! Why??? Do some people thrive on panic, if this had any legs do you not think that the tabloids if business pages would have picked up on it? Yet there has been nothing. So until it is either confirmed or denied, then why create panic simply because amit hasn't tweeted for 120h 45m 22s.
Of course it's fair to say that this thread could have as much substance as a fart in the wind. At the moment it's all just speculation, and there may well be nothing in it. Apparently he dots this regularly. But first of all this whole forum is almost entirely about speculation and opinion, and as long as it's not taken too seriosly there's nothing wrong with that. Also, I do find it unusual that Amit felt moved to comment on the relative coolness of Ivan Lendl, but hasn't said a single thing about one of our biggest games of the season. Of course he's under no obligation to tweet at all, but it's got nothing to do with panic or getting a life to note that his silence is a bit odd and possibly worrisome, is it?
It is usual to see a line of enthusiastic Mittals in the front row of the executive seats at every match. Now, my eyesight isn't the best, and I'd probably struggle to distinguish Amit from his father-in-law from where I sit in Block S, Ellerslie, but I'm pretty certain the Indian contingent were absent on Saturday, and this at probably the most fiercely contested match of the season at LR. Do I think there's something up? Yes, I do. I hope to hell there isn't and it's just instinct. It's not a cause to panic but I'll be watching this with interest. TF is a strong character and has really imposed his personality on the club with beneficial effects. But the Mittals may well want to control a club they sink their money into and so it would be entirely logical if they decided to use the experience that Amit has gained in the running of QPR in a club they purchase and own 100%. And not necessarily in the UK
The Indian contingent are there because of Amit, but with him being away then why would we expect to see them there? Again I don't know whether this is true or not, my personal opinion is that it's all crap started by Scott Jones. My point is people are jumping to wild conclusions based on absolutely nothing. Have a look at Amit's twitter page, it has blue and white hoops right across the page with the crest in the corner just above a picture of him. Why can't people look at things like this and argue for why he's not going anywhere, instead of always looking for the smallest thing based on nothing?
the man is having a break in vegas, he seems a top man and rangers are lucky to have him, stop fussing the man is rangers through and through, you can tell by his passion
Yes, I'm not usually one to jump on conspiracy-type theories, it's just that the logic is persuasive. However, there's nothing concrete, so I'll keep schtum until we know more, one way or the other
But there hasn't been a point made in the negative that wasn't or hasn't been there since day one of Mittal Joining the club. But just cause some twat grinds his axe and starts spouting a load of tosh, people are looking at everything that hasn't changed and now putting 2 and 2 together and coming out with all sorts of answers. Totally unbelievable just how people start to panic.
It does seem a little strange, considering he's been ever present almost via Twitter/interviews/sound bytes since we got promoted and TF came on board. He obviously has his own life, but previously even when he's been travelling or been abroad he's been tweeting or commenting on QPR, replying to fans etc etc. If we don't hear anything by the end of next Sunday after the Spurs game then I'll be a little more concerned. As it stands, we just had our best peroformance of the season so lets focus on that.
Not a bad idea though to panic about the Football Club that you love mate, it allows you to stay more calm about all the really scary situations we face in life, with health, family, job and when we going to get laid next! Right now I'm panicking a lot about Amit, and who is going to finance us if we are in the Championship next season or worst the one after. I'm panicking a lot about still being in the relegation zone, a lot about only having scored just 2 goals this season and having 2 only recognised strikers available to change this, and one of them seems out of favour and form. But never mind we'll claw our way up sometime after next Easter right!
No it is unusual, that's the point. He hasn't done it for over 4 months, and in that time he's posted practically every single day about about qpr hundreds of times. Why does this rumour get the same predictable responses every time someone mentions it. "for god sakes stop panicking" "get a life" What the hell are you on about? Nobody is "panicking"- this is a QPR board for discussing QPR related things, and if there's any suspicion our most wealthy backer is going to pull out, then it's going to get mentioned. What a moronic thing to say. Of course he's not under contract to tweet, but that's irrelevant. I can't figure out what your point is? Nobody's denying the twitter is sh1te. But if such an influential person at the club is using this sh1te regularly, and trends in his sh1te usage change just at the time him/tony fernandez/ian taylor are asked questions about whether the mittals are leaving, then people are going to notice it. I though Scott Jones is/was a journo TLR, but fair enough. Equally, WHY if this is just an empty rumour, hasn't someone from the club quickly come in and denied it? A statement like the Diakite one would help. Considering how big the chairman and everyone else are on transparency, it's very very unusual for them not to respond to all the tweets from fans asking whether the Mittals will pull out. They're ignoring them.
