You are right about us being crap, ladyboy, but it went as well as could be expected for us after we lost Rosco. Personally, I'd be worried if I was a Baadiff fan. All that investment, and all you can manage is a set piece and a laughable pen. You're beginning to look like a Lesta mk II. Pish poor value for all the money you've spent.
Exactly what I was getting at whitejock all that possession and time planted in our half n they couldn't score from open play!!!
So are Cardiff fans happy with that performance. It seems like they are... While I do think they were the better team and I doubt many will argue it, they were still poor and you will not get promoted playing like that. It was probably the single worst first half of football I have ever seen two teams produce. While the second half was slightly better if you were a neutral it was still very very sloppy with few decent passing moves about. Both teams where having a heading war for an hour of the game and the rest was long balls to no one. And to say McCormack going off didn't affect anything is rubbish. You could clearly see we didn't know what to do with him off the pitch. He normally drops deep and picks the ball up from the midfield. The midfield just didn't have that option and ended up just playing long balls and giving possession away. I really hope its not a serious injury, we will struggle severely without him on the pitch
FFS ,your radio link must have been piss poor . your fat keeper kept the score down to 2 but the real score should have been 4 or even 5 to Cardiff ,totally outplayed and we even gave you a first half of us not turning up ................
I watched the game live on TV. Wasn't a radio link and that header was the only good save kenny made and really your player shoulda done better with it. Maynard's **** from within the penalty area, while it was close, it was still an average save. I admit you were the better team but you need to up your game if you think your gonna get promoted. The fact of the matter is that you couldn't score from open play, instead you needed Tonge to foul a player of yours that Lees had already tackled (therefore being a pointless challenge to make and a soft free-kick to give away) and a penalty that regardless of how you describe it wasn't a penalty. A lot of possession and supposedly one of the best attacking teams in the league and you were unable to punish a team that was there for the taking really
I think Bellamy had to convert that free kick from quite an angle. Definite Penalty - an inexperienced kid being exploited by a smart, experienced attacker. Referee had no choice.
i think the ref bottled. He should have sent off 2 cardiff players for horrendous tackles. He booked the 2nd one. then he booked a Tonge for a foul which wasn't reckless or harsh. The ref was a homer.
Agreed Wasper on the first thought. Tonge booking - there are other reasons to book than those you listed. Tactical fouls draw cards all the time.
I don't think it was a penalty at all. Maynard ran into Tom Lees if anything and they both kinda just fell over. You can't give a penalty for that I'm not trying to say we were harshly treated as I genuinely feel Cardiff deserved the win but it wasn't a penalty. And as Wasper said, we didn't exactly get our fair share from the ref
Yes, they both fell over but when one player falls over because the other player went into him, it is a foul. I could continue but you know the rest. I have not read one informed opinion, e.g., Eddie Gray, that did not think it was a penalty. That is probably a fair statement but as you stated, we lost the game on our own.
Yes I agree, excpet I think maynard ran into Lees rather than the other way around. Thats why i don't think its a pen, no other reason And I haven't actually read anyone's opinions on it so I wouldn't know
