Everton are absolutely battering Newcastle after half an hour. 77% of possession. 8 shots to 0 and 6 of those on target. Not fancying our defence up against this lot next weekend!
Everton looking very impressive. Baines is immense! Still got a funny feeling we'll break the hoodoo next weekend. Our problem is at the back, and Jelavic, Fellaini and co could really hurt us. We just have to score more.
Good team everton and our nightmare team for getting anything off. Im going to rely on law of averages again to change our appalling record against them...(please) off topic but did anyone see on MOD the size of grant holt, god he has piled on the LB's and he looks so unfit that he should be in a pub team and not the premiership.....
I'm having a gut feeling that Williams is going to play a blinder against the Toffees! Michu will pull something out of the bag for us too!
early goals we need because the longer we leave it the more likely we will lose....everton always seem to beat us by two goals so lets get a couple in their goal first and beat the jinx.....
Sorry boys - but my gut feeling is that the Toffees will win on Saturday. At times we defended like novices on Saturday and kept on playing ourselves into trouble. The wily David Moyes will target that. Hope I'm wrong though
The Toon came back into it and showed that Everton can be got at, even though they were lucky to come away with a draw. If we start quickly out of the blocks I fancy us this time.
I'd prefer to play their strongest team. There's something a bit odd about hoping opposition players are injured so that we get an easier game. Better if both teams have all players available. It's better to beat a strong team then one that has some key players missing.
But they only had 36.5% possession during last hour. So we should be able to beat them. And we're at home. Will be a totally different game.
as long as we dont lose is the target, we dont want back to back losses to ruin our good start, I would even take a draw on this one giving our record against them...
Agree - and as stated on Sky - Everton come out all guns blazing, hunting in packs..... and then when they're on top they sit back deep Ki to sit alongside Leon to counter the immense Fellaini
"It's better to beat a strong team then one that has some key players missing." How odd. Isn't it more likely we'll beat a weakened team? Everton are an excellent outfit and any advantage is gratefully received. I bet Laudrup doesn't have your view.
