Decisions even themselves out really. Why the ref pulled back Ben Arfa, I'll never know. The Everton goal from Anichibe technically should have stood, but the freekick should never have been given though. We had some luck, but with our luck with injuries so far, and the fact that there's still a lot of time to go, I think the game deserved a 2-2 result tbh. A loss would have been harsh on either team.
Everyone has their good and bad luck lads. Your first goal vs Swansea was put on a plate by a ridiculous mistake by Williams. We're both good sides, and we'll see how the season goes.
Newcastle were not in the game 1st half and everton should have been out of sight? However, football is all about taking chances and scoring when on top and to be fair, Newcastle were the better team 2nd half. The not given a goal was definitely in but to be honest, it took a slow motion replay to confirm it so difficult to blame the linesman but the offside (or not offside) goal was a very poor decision, as he looked on side in normal play. The lucky bubble remains in tact for them but sometimes you make your own luck and Ba made the difference 2nd half. On a positive note, Cisse was utter garbage again. Not the player he was last year.
Good post. Cisse has had a poor start, but Ba also had poor games last season. If they were both on form all season, they'd both be scoring 25 goals. Cisse wasn't great overall, but he did almost score a couple of times.
Excellent post. Still early to judge Cisse, it just doesn't seem to be going for him at the minute, we shall see. To the person who made this thread, you're an idiot, at least one Sunderland fan does this every year and it's just embarrassing.
Yes u make your own luck, from the outside looking in (loads of pals ipswich, norwich, arsenal, spurs, boro, everton, etc etc) think there luck should have ran out long before now! Questoon : have the scum not been on telly every game so far this season?
I take exception to that, my opinion on nufc is that your riding your luck even without krull, its allowed!
Think what you want. Our season last season had it's lucky breaks, and it's unlucky breaks. Luck evens out. We've never had any luck with injuries, and that's already showing this season. Plus Everton were lucky not to have a man sent off.
Fair assessment Cest ~ I said on another thread, football is light years behind rugby, tennis and cricket in terms of technology. The ball was well over the line, well over, but five seconds after that, the refs arse fell out when we were three on one. In terms of the bubble bursts, we'll see.......... we seem to have the upper hand on you for a long while......
Correct. But your prediction of "our luck running out" on the day we play you, is just one massive fail, and reminiscent of the bold predictions we see on a twice yearly basis from you lot.
there you go mate, spoiling a perfectly good slanging match with proper footy talk again, now can we get back on topic please.
That is my opinion, not going to waste my time arguing with 3 mags as opposed to less mackems. End of thread! SAFC
