I have to say that, having had a few run ins with Swords myself, I found nothing racist in his comments whatsoever. Total over-reaction by Imaz imho!
What's wrong with calling Morocco a Mickey Mouse side? They were good years ago but have done f*ck-all recently, so it's a fair description, just like Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are. Nothing racist in an opinion describing footballing ability there, someone is too sensitive...

Mod Notes Had a complaint about tensions on this thread earlier. Not surprised to establish the antagonists - although at the time of writing this post, can't see too much wrong with Swords' initial post(s). Agree we wouldn't have dreamed of calling Morocco a mickey mouse team a few years ago when they - and Algeria - were two of Africa's finest and a hand-full to deal with in WC groups. True also that Morocco haven't achieved much of late - and even then, Adel Taarabt hasn't featured too often to improve matters, has he? As for our mate Swords, he's apt to make judgements that come back to haunt him on here. It's not so much what he's said about Morocco on this thread that seems to have caused yet another rift with Imaz, it's more Swords' willingness to have played devil's advocate on a number of race-based and similarly sensitive threads before. Stuff like taking the ludicrous Blatter line that racist conduct should be settled with a handshake - and this, months before the Terry incident. Personally I accept such comments are usually made fairly superficially as part of Swords' edgy writing style. Not meant to be abusive but simply to add a bit of spice. I think Imaz would have seen it that way before Swords started baiting him and others during the summer, and race and religion appeared to be a factor. Since then Imaz has made clear that he now regards Swords as an intolerable racist reactionary - and whilst I very much doubt that's the case, Swords hasn't exactly done much to actively convince Imaz otherwise. What Swords has done lately though, is to have heeded my advice and slowed if not stopped altogether, his annoying habit of targeting individuals and baiting them into a personalised angry reaction. A step in the right direction I'd say. For his part, Imaz, no stranger to a bit of uncompromising opinion himself from time to time, has admitted his current tendency to view what Swords writes with a slightly paranoid eye. Odd thing is, they both resolved to put each other on 'ignore' but, as with Flyer, there doesn't seem to be much evidence of this having happened. All three are similarly strongly opinionated and almost invariably appear to end up confronting their adversaries regardless. Not surprising then, Imaz's apparent overreaction on this thread - but then again any thread on the contradictory 'floored' genius that is our Adel, is bound to produce casualties. Always has and no doubt, always will.

To be fair to Swords he does seem to have reigned himself in and the only people who could have found his Morocco comment to be racist are the same people who would call me racist for saying that I chalked something on a black-board. He's been given a last chance and so far he has not transgressed as far as I can tell.
US Civil Rights texts had it that we (everyone in every nation) are all inherently racist. Problem only kicks in when racism or any other 'ism' is used by the influential majority to blight the lives / gain undue advantage over those lacking such power. It's what we to stem it that matters most. Getting back on track, d'you reckon Taarabt's a racist?!!
I think those "Mod Notes" have nailed everything pretty much spot on. My conduct during the close season was inexcusable. I really did completely lose all sense and reason. Maybe I had some sort of breakdown or something, I don't know. I totally lost the plot. I understand Imaz' suspicions of me and I wouldn't begrudge him having a go at me a'tall. I hope he comes back to the Forum as he's a very good contributor and thinks more "outside the box" than anyone else on here with the exception perhaps of Oddball. (P.S. I meant no offence to Morocco. In fact, I spent the whole Euros arguing with Sooper, COL and North when they had a go at other Countries teams!)

Don't worry mate, you weren't to know, and don't let this put you off visiting this board. If all your fringe players are as good as Granero we want to know about them before Spurs do, despite the alleged 'agreement' between them and Real Madrid.
