    I'd go with this personally:
    Davis
    Clyne Fonte Yoshida Fox
    Schneiderlin Chaplow
    Puncheon Ramirez Lallana
    Rodriguez

Ooh contoversial! I'd bring Lambert off of the bench, he was knackered from the Man Utd game and from the bits I saw of the Arsenal game, didn't look like he was that fit so I think he needs to be given a bit of a rest every now and then so when he does start, then we will get the best out of him.

I've put Chaplow in because against Arsenal we failed to keep their midfield quiet and Chaplow will give it his all. I also remember Schneiderlin and Chaplow having a great partnership when they played together, for example against Man Utd in the FA Cup.

I would have three centre midfielders, but I want to have Ramirez in the number 10 role because I think we need to have our best players in their best position. I like the idea of Ramirez having three good players around him and I think although we may be lacking in defensive cover, we'll be a threat all game and should out score Villa. Plus we can bring Lambert and Mayuka off the bench for fresh legs and maybe Guly as well to help keep the ball and see the game out.

How do you leave JWP out? Surely he has been one of our best players for consistency in the four games. He and Morgan ran Untd's midfield until Scholes came on.

If only we had this much competition for places for our defence! Maybe have 4-3-3 and drop Puncheon then.

We cant as he is too inexperienced hence should of signed a keeper we could of put in straight away , Butland for £6 Million would of been good business .

Have you seen Butland this season? Made a few KD type errors..... but then again, I'm sure we'd forgive him becasue he's young, trying his best, etc.

Oh and I nearly forgot ... I thought you said playing an inexperienced keeper was a bad idea?

That's in the division below, as well. SKD looked better in the Championship than Butland is looking (that said, I still think Butland is the real deal but I'm far from suicidal about Kelv)

Same as second half v Arsenal. We looked much more effective:

    Davis

    Clyne
    Fonte
    Yoshida
    Fox

    Schneiderlin
    JWP

    Puncheon
    Ramirez
    Lallana

    Lambert

I wanted to sign him and learn from Davis , there is no reason why we could not of signed Gazzaniga either as they would of been in a season or two number 1 and 2 at the club .

What, have two inexperienced keeprs? Surely if we were to sign a thrid keeper, it would have been an experienced one. You seem to be blowing your own opinions apart tonight fella.

Err no I mean that , not too sure why I am blowing my opinions apart though as buying to young goalkeepers who have promising futures is bad do you ? Davis would be the number 1 with the other two learning the ropes .

But, you said we can't play Gazza as he is too inexperienced. I assume the same applies to Butland and you say KD is rubbish ... so signing Butland aswell as Gazza wouldn't have given us an option right now. You have shown the flaw in your own opinion.

So here's the big questions for Nigel:

    1. Where does Gaston play. Wide in a 4-3-3 would fit in with what worked so well before Arsenal, but might risk him not getting involved. Central in a 4-2-3-1 could let him run the game and was good against Arsenal but means we have a lighter midfield.
    2. Who does he drop. If it's a straight swap then presumably Puncheon who wasn't great on Saturday (can definitely see him coming off the bench on 60 mins though). But Steve Davis had a real nightmare before he came off and if it's a CM that goes, he has to be the no.1 candidate.
    3. Centre back. I reckon if will be Fonte-Maya with Jos on the bench if fit.
    4. What other changes. For me Mayuka is a candidate, along with Cork if he is back with us.

    So here's Qwerty's team...

    Davis
    Clyne Fonte Maya Fox
    Ward-Prowse Schneiderlin
    Mayuka Ramirez Lallana
    Lambert

Subs: Gazza Jos/Seaborne Richardson/Shaw Davis Cork Puncheon Rodriguez

If you didn't on an earlier threaad then I am wrong, and I apologise. However, in my defence all your negative ramblings seem to roll into one neagtive blur and I thought you had written him off too; you've written most other things Saints off.

Do you think we are missing a CB?

So if he is fit, Corkie must play!!!

So you have made something up to justify your argument ? Classy , are you Kelvin MacKensie ? You see this sort of crap you have been posting along with others is a classic example of not thinking and diving in , I know what I write and I know football quite well enough to argue and also concede a point , most on here are flag waving non questioning gob ****es , dont be one of them .
