Agreed Oslo. We must go for the points against the "lesser" sides.....no safety first against them.

Starting against WHU. SWP must not start and we should have Park on the right and Hoilett/Taarabt on the left.

Have to agree on this Park is so much more effective out wide. And i think when we click as a team a few teams we be getting a good old spanking of us.

Agreed flyer. Hopefully we'll see Cisse, Hoilett and Adel all start against Reading in the cup too?

The three of them along with Traore haven't endeared themselves to the Manager so far this season RE their work-rate.

You are correct that the Reading game could be the perfect opportunity for them to show Sparky that they mean business and force themselves into the side. Away at Spurs, the Manager's going to play it tight like he did on Saturday. Not great viewing but hopefully it'll be effective enough to sneak a result.

Exactly and hope they rip then to shreds. Reading are very fragile so it could be hammering. Id start Mackie as well up front to give Zamora a rest.

Yep...BZ will be rested as it is only 3 days after the Spurs game! I'd play Park, Taarabt and Hoilett behind Cisse and really go for it. I'm going, so I hope we do!

I'd give Park a rest soon, quite a long one unless we need to rest our central more defensive midfield players. Don't understand what you fellas see in him in attacking roles out wide!

Indeed and quite right too. I'd expect the same line up with Mackie starting instead of AJ and Traore in for Fabio and M'Bia in for Ferdinand. Same formation. Me? I'd play Hoilett in behind BZ and use his pace on the break! Predictably I'd play Adel ahead of SWP but I realise that MH won't!

Oslo...I try to support you when the guys gang up on you but you're doing yourself no favours with your condemnation of Park. Did you never see him play for Utd when Fergie selected him for every big European game?

I'm thinking that too. Survival is their only priority....as is ours....but we have the far stronger squad this season and can put out a strong side.

With Park, you know you are going to get a at least a 7 out of 10 every game, with Hoilett or Taarabt, they could be a 5 one game and an 8 the next.

Id play Mackie as well and have a front 4 of Taarabt, Hoilett, Mackie and Cisse. Id bring in Derry for Faurlin too, maybe Dyer for Granero.

Did you not see him Saturday and every other game. every ball that was lost he worked his socks and won the ball back every time. It is not just about being able to go forward but to be able to track back and help your team mates out. And Park will do this every time off.

Ain't looking for favours Col! I ain't condemming Park either. I agree he is a very hard working player. I just don't think MH is using him in the right positions, and with the players we have available now I think we have better players in Park's best postion, than Park is himself - Granero, Ale and Diakite (probably, but its a while since he was fit). I don't remember Man U using him so wide, as I recall he played more like an old fashioned inside forward there, chasing and tackling everything, making defenders uncomfortable, but rarely creating much or scoring much himself. He doesn't get outside full backs and get in crosses, don't remember one cross from out wide Saturday from either side, until Cisse came on and sent in a beauty, and he doesn't look like he's going to score. Not a wide attacking player for me.

I agree with that entirely. But we need more than that in wide attacking players, especially when we have the same limitations the other side when MH plays both Park and SWP.
