We know about Saha and Boa Morte, and here's news of Barry Hayles still kicking the ball around - http://www.buckinghamshireexaminer.co.uk/south-bucks-sport/west-london-football/2012/08/01/ex-fulham-man-nets-in-chesham-win-114018-31523084/ Anybody know of others from a bygone era?
Maik Taylor is still playing and has just signed a one year deal with Millwall. I believe Eric Nevland is still playing too in Norway.
Another, more infamous hero, Steve Marlet retired only last month and is now coach at his last club, Aubervilliers - http://www.leparisien.fr/espace-premium/essonne-91/marlet-va-s-inspirer-de-guy-roux-27-06-2012-2066548.php
Steed Malbranque It looks as though Steed, having dipped out of St Etienne last year, is about to resume his career with his boyhood club Lyon. More strength his elbow.
Seeing as he is on the club website - http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/NewsArticles/2012/August/DjetousAssessment.aspx Martin Djetou
Not sure if he'd be classed as a 'Golden Oldie' but Fulham legend John Pantsil has just signed for Hapoel Tel Aviv. Gives me an excuse to repeat a video clip of him on that most memorable of nights - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZokgRREjPI&feature=player_embedded
Barry Hayles scored for St Albans this evening. And not strictly an 'oldie', Stefano O'Kaka has signed for Parma please log in to view this image
A striker who did a did a bit more than Okaka, Diamansy Kamara, is now at a Turkish club called Eskisehirspor. They put St. Johnston out of the Europa League last month.
David Healy After a great debut start ... as they say, the rest is history. He's now signed for Bury from Rangers (Glasgow) on a 1 year deal. http://mancunianmatters.co.uk/content/23085044-bury-pull-major-coup-signing-former-rangers-striker-david-healy
Luis Boa Morte He hasn't found a new club yet but has been training at Motspur Park. Here is a little bit of reminiscing and positive thinking following an interview while there - http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2012/september/14/fulham-is-my-club
Paul Konchesky Another 'golden oldie', well almost, he scored a cracker at the weekend against Wolves - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pQyMvtuI1s Maybe not as good as that one against West Ham but not bad. And of course we have him (and Roy) to thank for Kaca.
please log in to view this image He quit football after managing Bedford Town and worked at Luton Airport before sadly dying in 1985, rosc. What a record for us though - 78 goals in 110 games (and that doesn't include the barrowload he scored in the war years). My claim to fame is that a best mate was named after him.
Leon Andreason Another video clip of an ex-player (now with Hanover 96) scoring from a free kick - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iszu4q581Ec And here's a clip of him lobbing the Newcastle keeper when he was with us (Bryan Ruiz eat your heart out !) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MsglkJI1xk
Blimey, I'd forgotten that Andreason even existed! Did he really score one like that for us, Cottager, or was it just on FIFA?
