A big week coming up for Manchester United and obviously we shouldn't really be looking beyond Schalke, however I am quite wary of Arsenal next weekend. The pressure will be completely off our opponents and we have seen in the past that when the pressure is off Arsenal play their best football. Hopefully our players can rise to the occassion but I still expect there to be one or two twists and turns before the Premiership season is finished.
If Sir Alex Ferguson's selects the right team for this upcoming game, I do not see why we cannot win the game. One thing, I hope we can avoid is being unmotivated. To win this game our players must be determined to win the game by doing this we might be able to get a good result out of it.
In the last 7 league games Arsenal have only managed to beat blackpool. They have drawn a lot of games and remember that result combined with wins against blackburn and blackpool will be enough regardless of what Chelsea do.
We are pretty low on confidence so I can't see us playing well enough. I predict and ultra boring match where you sit in your own half and allow us plenty of time on the wings so we can demonstrate just how bad we are at crossing.
I can see a draw, as we're almost certain to rest important players for the second leg against Schalke. The pressure was completely off Arsenal when we went to the Emirates in 08/09, and we got a boring 0-0 draw.
A draw wouldn't be bas as a win in our next league match at home to Chelsea would then give us the title. Chelsea play at home to Tottenham before we face Arsenal, hopefully they can help us out a bit.
Was that not when we only needed a draw to clinch the title? Slightly different scenario next weekend. I can see us pulling off a win as long as we don't lose in Germany. SAF will be telling the players that If we win at least the home Schalke tie, AND at Arsenal and at home to Chelsea (big ask but possible) then we're in the CL final and have wrapped up the title with 2 games to go.
But if we draw with Arsenal and beat Chelsea at home we win the title anyway. We'll be at least seven points clear with two games to go. SAF is more likely to tell the players to focus on beating Schalke and then on Chelsea - the Arsenal game is likely to be used to rest players in between the Schalke ties. Even two draws would be fine cos we'd only need one win from our last two games then.
I think we wil smash arrsenal tbh, I cannot see their little boys standing up to us, they have no bottle, chelsea at home will be a harder gaem
I could have sworn that match was at old trafford. As I remember it we won the home one with 2 Nasri goals
