All I'm predicting is if we play 4-4-2 Everton will look like Real Madrid tonight but it might make Ba & Cisse happy but the question is would Pards rather get a result or please both strikers? remains to be seen.

No matter the formation, they will probably beat us and look good doing it.

Besides I doubt Everton looking like Madrid would help them too much tonight <laugh>

I do hope not, but injuries are very worrying, and I also forgot Pardew starts his touchline ban today! :emoticon-0120-doh:

Might as well tell Pards not to waste a journey down to Liverpool and just concede the points.

Think we'll get beat tonight, but there seems to be a lot of negativity about it.

Yup, how many of us actually expected to beat United last season? And how many went for 3-0?

If Pards decides 4-4-2 is the best way of going about beating them then fair enough... but what will annoy me is if we start with 4-4-2, and then get totally outplayed, and only decide to change to 4-3-3/4-5-1 when we go 2-0 down. It's almost as if Pards sees if he can get away with 4-4-2, and then changes it when we start to lose.

I think we need to be flexible with our formation, I'm sure 4-4-2 will be the best option sometimes, but against "lesser" teams we should go 4-3-3 and put it to bed rather than see if we can scrape by on 4-4-2 and keep Ba and Cisse happy.

I hope Santon and Ben Arfa keep up their excellent form, I also have an inkling Anita will impress at right back.

Everton aren't a lesser team. We haven't hit any form, and we have key injuries. This is a time for containemnt, being happy with a draw, and perhaps hoping to nick a win by hitting on the counter.

Start 1 striker up front (whichever of Ba or Cisse looks the part more in training) with 5 midfielders, either in a straight 4 - 5 - 1 or a 4 - 2 - 3 - 1. Pace on the wings, and as much steel as we can find in the middle.

Gary Neville seems surprised Pardew's chosen Cisse over Ba, but at least it leaves us a plan B if it isn't going well, as long as we don't leave it to late to make any changes.
