Felliani (As Chris Waddle calls him) is awesome- as has been mentioned one of the best CM's in the game - has absolutely everything a midfielder needs and uses it superbly well. I would LOVE to see him playing at Sunderland but, as has been mentioned, not likely that's ever going to happen as I don't think we'll be at that level in his playing days
He is needed at Sunderland, but in the same way as we need Messi, Aguero and Falcao as our forward line. It's just never going to happen. Would love it if we could unearth a similar-style player for cheap though, he really is an outstanding, dominating midfielder.
We looked at Witsel last summer, available for £4million after a few run ins with the refs in Belgium, we never moved, he went to Porto. Last week, Porto sold him on. For £32million. We LOVE a good **** up in the transfer market.
Funnily enough, Witsel is exactly who I had in mind there when I was talking about relatively cheap CM prospects, I wish we would take more risks in terms of promising young players from Europe! I thought he went to Benfica though? Could be wrong like.
