please log in to view this image Team News Leeds United Ross Mccormack will miss out after picking up an injury in the defeat to Cardiff Paul Green, David Norris and Davide Somma are still out long term Adam Drury and Luke Varney are also doubts Hull City No fresh injury concerns for Hull City Matt Fryatt still out injured along with Jack Hobbs and Tom Cairney Dangermen Leeds United Luciano Becchio-Going to pose the biggest threat to Hulls defence with fellow striker Ross Mccormack out injured. Still with 5 goals this season with 4 coming in the league hopefully Luciano will lead us to victory. Rudolph Austin- The beast has become a fan favourite at Elland Road for his crunching tackles and persistance. He managed to grab a well struck free kick against Cardiff aswell. Hull City Jay Simpson- With 3 goals in 6 appearances this season Jay Simpson is Hulls top goal scorer. He managed to score in the 4-1 win over Millwall at the weekend. He could well be a threat for the Leeds back 5. Sone Aluko- Was wanted by alot of Leeds fans to make the switch to Elland Road but eventually he joined Hull City and has impressed. With 5 appearances in the league and 2 goals in his debut season so far Aluko is looking dangerous and will cause problems along with Jay Simpson. Expected Leeds Lineup Kenny Peltier Lees Pearce Pugh Byram Tongue Austin White Diouf Becchio Enochs Prediction Following a loss to Cardiff in what I thought was our best chance in recent years to beat them, We face our neighbours Dull City. Hull have looked alot better than last season and at the weekend thrashed Millwall 4-1 and while we languish in 9th place Hull are up there in 4th. With injuries to Ross Mccormack at the weekend and Varney and Drury missing out Warnock will be forced to make changes. Hull haven't the best record against us either so this game could go either way.I expect The Mighty Whites to strike back however and show the fans what they are capable of. Leeds 3-1 Hull City Over to the Elland Road faithful and Hull City lot Keep banter flowing. X
Millwall fans thought they would do us 4-1 and look what happened on saturday ? So i take your 3-1 scoreline - Just that Hull will get the 3. Thank you and goodbye for now.
I have no idea what score this will be, hope Poleon gets a chance, Byram and White will trouble them with Pace Hull always say they are gonna beat us but never actually do but this year could probably be the year
Beating Millwall isn't the hardest of tasks. And considering the last time you beat us was 2006. I feel quite confident, although I'll look a tool if you beat us
Past results, even last seasons, are nothing to go from due to both sides being under new management and vastly different squads. Hard one to predict this and could go any way but think there will be 3 goals in it in any format. 2-1 away win I think.
Seyi Olofinjana is out for us, he'll be replaced by Corry Evans, no other injury issues(other than the long-termers). We always do **** at Elland Road, but we're currently much better than we normally are, so who knows. I'll go 1-3, just because we have a superior squad now and it's about time Leeds stopped being a bogey team. Edit: £138 for four seats, we better not ****ing lose.
We would struggle against anyone at the moment. We'll do well to get a point. How bad is it saying that at home to hull. Desperate times
Leeds have done the usual and sold another vital player, were as we have kept the same squad which finished above Leeds by about 7 places, with a lot of impressive additions. Also Mccormack being out adds to our advantage, and so does our current form, 7 goals in the last 2 games for us and this is Hull City we are talking about so the sqaud should be confident, I know I am. Leeds Scum 0-2 Hull City.
No goals scored by Hull on the road as yet though so wonder if you'll play with the same confidence at Elland Road. As mentioned though with McCormack out, Hull will fancy their chances, however the same argument was probably said last season with Jonny Howson, Max Gradel and Luciano Becchio all absent.
We've only played two home games since the transfer window closed, the team you'll play tomorrow haven't played on the road yet.
In fairness, we have faced you with rather weak teams in recent years. We haven't exactly had strength in depth or in the "Goals scored" column hence the reason we normally draw or lose. With the last couple of Seasons, if we conceded 2, it was very rare that we'd get something from the game because we couldn't score.
So the additions of Elmohamady and Quinn make you a more dangerous proposition? At least we have the impressive Michael Tonge to make his home debut
We have taken this into account at Elland Road in the last couple of seasons and gifted you 2 own goals. Unfortunately you weren't good enough to capitalise last season, but the year before we made sure you at least took home a point as the lad who scored the 30yd free kick didn't deserve to be on the losing side.
