Great news. Obviously good for us for them to have their MVP out, but also the more games he misses the more he looks like an expensive flop which makes me feel better about selling him.

    I feel confident.

If we beat them it will be up there with the demolition derby!

Hope we beat them and they have 2 inexperienced defenders. Jonas and Barton could have a field day.

Good. He would murder us I reckon, I care more about the result and NUFC getting a win than Carroll. I don't think we will win, I think we will get murdered, and if we do it doesn't help our case in keeping Jose from going there.

It'll be tough, suarez looks good enough by himself and kuyts hit a good patch of form

I'm glad he is out as I think he would torment us a bit! I hope that he comes on and gets crunched!

Joey, knock him out, joey joey knock him out!

Bitter sweet. Would've been nice for him to play so he can get the **** kicked out of him and booed on and off the pitch for 90 minutes, but glad he's not playing. Still not ready to see him play against us, let alone shoot or *gulp* score!!

Think our defense will massively struggle against the likes of Suarez and Kuyt if we play like we did at Blackpool. On normal form however, Colo and Jose should be comfortable-ish, but I can still see the Liverpool attack causing them problems. Midfield we should have no problems with as long as Tiote's on form. Their defence is somewhat lacking but then again so is our attack so I'm not predicting many goals from us here.

I'm not sure to be honest. I'm not really confident about this game, but I just don't know what to predict.

I think we have a better midfield. Tiote and Nolan work great together and we held the potential champions and current champions with this midfield.

We always seem to up our game against those that should be beating us though.

I don't think Suarez looks that good. He's skilful, but he seems to blow hot and cold and he's so frivolous with possession. He'd really piss me off if he played for us.

Aye, games against Chelsea, Manc at home, L'pool, Arsenal away and 2nd half at home we've been decent, is why I'm not sure what to predict!
Ordinarily, I'd predict a L'pool win, but under aforementioned circumstances, who knows!!

One of the reasons I was looking forward to going to Liverpool was to see if he'd come over and applaud us for old times sake. That and seeing how he'd react if he scored against us.

And of course what kind of reception he'd get from us.

True but I still feel that in a battle between Lucas and Tiote there is only one winner. Nolan will be up against his home town club so should be up for it and Barton will feed off the probable boos and hopefully play a blinder and Jonas against an inexperienced RB will cause problems.

I can see quite a few arguments next week. There is the minority that will stick up for Carroll and have a go at anyone who has a go at Carroll.

It seems that Barton can't cope with getting boo'd. I remember the 2 games where he got a bad reception and he was terrible.

    Spurs and Stoke away.
