    It doesnt even make sense, it's not like Ashley has literally gave him a big pile of money and a wheelbarrow and let him set about signing players, it just says we have begun preliminary talks with some players/clubs. Also doesnt specify that he has actually been given 35mil...

    It just says what we already knew in February. We alledgedly will get 35m but it won't all fund transfer fees but wages too. Also, goes on to say that we are actively looking at transfers but so is every club in the EPL!!?!

    It does say he is happy with the budget talks though, so you'd have to hope Ashley has given him all the Carroll money, and that we can make up the wages for new players from sales/savings from the likes of Xisco.

    aye, if he was happy with the budget talks, and he was expecting the entire 35m, then surely he must have been given something in the region of that sum? for wages as well though, most likely, which i have no problems with. as long as it's all wisely spent, i'm all good.

    If Pardews happy with it then it means he expects to be able to do what he wanted to. Hopefully that means some top quality players arriving in the summer
