A position has become available at my work for Perth, Australia. I know you are there Cyclonic and was wondering if you can shed any light on what it is like to work there. Obviouly it would be a wrench not being able to see the kids regularly so I need to weigh this u in light of our impending divorce. New starf or close proximity to the children? I've heard, like Aberdeen, it is also hell of expensive but the money is far better. They like their sheep there as well. Anyone got any advice? No WUMS please.
It's too ****ing hot and most of the wildlife wants to kill you. On the other hand, the natives do have a sense of humour, and gambling and alcoholism are actively encouraged.

When I first split from their Ma I moved to Manchester. Back every few weeks. Then my wee lad got himself hit by a car and I endured the worst 5 or 6 hours till I got back. He wasn't even that badly hurt. If something happened to one of your kids and you're bronzing yourself in Oz you would be ****ed. Wait till they leave school and are adults, you have a responsibility to them. <***got>

My son-in-law started work for a French oil company and they posted him in Perth (couldn't have sent him any further, really). He was obviously missing my daughter and the nipper but the feckers had him grafting all day, seven days a week. Fek, he didn't have any opportunity to go to the WACA before they posted him to Oklahoma, where again they grafted his balls off. He was due two weeks break and instead of granting him it, they wanted to send him to Canada. He refused and resigned. The one thing I will say is that when he left for Perth, we had a little family get-together and I was almost in tears at him going. He's a smashing lad and I'm pleased he's home. Take time to make your mind up, mate. It's a big decision.
