Agree, the fat keeper kept the score down and 4 or five would have been a more true score . Hopwe Mcormack gets better soon as he is a class act and we never should have got rid but wont be long till he has moved on from leeds if thats the football they play .
To be fair that's our problem, you take McCormack out and that's what we resort to - when McCormack's on the pitch we have a creative outlet. Not saying we would've beaten you with him on the pitch, but I do think we would've given you more of a game and taken advantage of what wasn't the strongest Cardiff defence I've ever seen You did play a lot better than us on the day though. The difference is the added extra quality you guys have - you take McCormack out of our side and we have absolutely no creativity.
it made zero difference whether mccormack up front or a tumbleweed, we had all the play and possession..... just seen the challenges of smith and mutch and both were strong challenges, borderline yellow and reds, in the premiership both would be reds but this is neil warnock we're talking about, so he can hardly complain about full blooded challenges.....
What we're saying is that we'd have had a lot MORE play if McCormack had been around, since he's the pivotal link between our midfield and attack, but Tonge and Austin don't really have that same creative spark in them, so we ended up playing the long ball more than necessary. It WOULD have made a difference if he wasn't fouled out of the game.
McCormack has effectively been Snodgrass' replacement this season, so to dismiss him as a goal-hanger up front who'd have made no difference on the balance of play is total cobblers.
The best team won and would have still won if mac had played. you were bossed from start to finish and cardiff were never going to lose....They should have scored a lot more the amount of chances they had but its a win and thats all that matters...
We where bossed from start to finish yes but Cardiff created **** all chances scored a class freekick n had a penalty gifted bossing a game but not creating anything won't get you promotion
Probably so, but I think we're more than entitled to comment on the possibility of the game being different had our best player, our talisman and most creative outlet in McCormack not been taken off injured after 5 minutes. He holds on to the ball better than the rest of our team and uses it well. We would've probably lost with him anyway, but we would've created a hell of a lot more going forward had he stayed on. And against what I believe is a fairly average Cardiff defence, we might of had more luck with our best and most creative player on the pitch. That said, all in the past now, on to the next game...
Cardiff created f*** all chances what game you watching mate seriously!!! Get your head out of your arse...paddy Kenny made 4 good saves so your point it totally irrelevant! Marshall didn't really get troubled besides the free kick from Austin you didn't have any clear cut chances so if our defence is the poorest it's been in years...it's not saying much about your attacking threat Even a jack has come on here and said cardiff were unlucky not to win by more so good luck for rest of season! And can't wait to beat you at your stadium but it's not really yours as you don't own it
what are you on? clearly you didnt see the match as we created a multitude of chances and really piled the pressure on especially second half...... you aint half talking bollocks on this thread!
If we get a similar ref who allows us to maim the opposition and give us penalty's when we dive. Then we will beat you no problem at Leeds.Which part of south wales was the ref from ?
You tell me a clear cut chance that you created? Paddy Kenny made a few saves which you would expect him to make which all came from long range shots which you had to resort to I'm right you lot are wrong
paddy Kenny made 4 good saves so your point it totally irrelevant! ----------------------------------------------------------------- you think 4 saves a game is exceptional ? just how **** is your keeper ?
YWBK, as I recall, PK saved a header from within the 6 yard area and a shot that he could have only seen at the very last second. They were far from routine or easy.
Sigh!!! This is why I hate football sometimes...why can't ppl admit that you were the worst side on the day?! Sky sports half the ppl on this forum has and even our nearest and dearest have even pointed out we were the deserved winners and should of won by more! But never mind Leeds!!! Keep believing with Papa Smurf at the helm the future is bright
I've admitted we where the worst side n offered nothing going forward but just saying for all the possession you had you didn't really create any clear cut chances, the shots from outside the box where good saves n the header mentioned (must have been when the stream went down)
