If 'Pool is sitting bottom of the EPL in the run-up to Xmas, I cannot see Roy Rodgers being permitted to continue, I don't care how rosy the glasses the Mousers are wearing are.

Mind you, who could they bring in who could improve them, that they can afford? The Yank owner has already made it crystal clear that he isn't going to be spending any real money any time soon, and top managers don't come cheap. And when Rodgers gets it in the neck, any self-respecting manager isn't going to want to sup from the poison chalice. At a push, they might just get Mick McCarthy or Big Sam, either of whom would probably jump at the chance of adding 'Pool to their CV, even if it does mean that they won't last more than half a season in the job.

Worrying times for 'Pool, methinks.

I hear what you are saying CPofL, and I certainly do not condone his ill-advised attempt to score political points using the blood of the Hillsborough dead. However, this thread is aimed very firmly at the Gaffe-type Mouser. I am hoping that by using objectivity and non-wum reasoning, I can hold up a mirror of reality to the Mouser delusion, and make him a better person.

Hate the sin, not the sinner, as the martyrs of old used to say.

Lafferpool have scored 3 goals so far with their new style tikataka. 2 from set pieces and 1 from a bounce off the defenders knee. 4 games and no Lafferpool assists. Worst start in 101 years but Bwendan is the new Shankly.

I think Rodgers has the potential to go on to become a decent manager but he is too impatient. He started at Watford and was doing a pretty good job but got headhunted to Reading and instead of staying and learning his trade he jumped at the chance - he failed there but to be fair was only given 4 months which was a bit stupid. He did more than inherit a decent team at Swansea but again should have stayed and learned his craft for a couple more years before attempting to step up to the big league. As it is he now will begin to understand what pressure is and the expectations in a job like his. My bet is he will not last there. Christmas ? - perhaps

Who the **** do you think you are?

You were banned off of our board for mocking the deaths of those who died in both Hillsborough and Heysel and now you think you can accuse one of our members of doing the same! How anyone on this forum is taking you seriously is completely beyond me. Despicable.
