I used to play an online management game against real people where the matches were all played at the same time and the game shut down for a short period while results were generated by a computer. One dominant formation, but tactics that you could switch between and pick up afterwards from the match reports. Games between roughly equal sides would be decided by which manager had won the battle of minds. Against top tacticians like Mancini, Martinez, Ferguson and Wenger, Adkins is also in a battle of wits. He can do his research, but still be hit by a surprise or two. Adkins is an intelligent man with a good grasp of tactics. He hasn't managed at the top before, so he looks naive at times, but he is the sort of person who learns from his experiences and is quick to take action when he makes a mistake. He will adapt in time and it's vital that we give it to him. He's not your average expendable manager and we wouldn't be able to replace him with one, so we'd be mad to let him go. Attacking strengthening desperately needed seeing to also, so I'd guess in the end, the odd deal fell through and we ran out of time. Transfers are complicated things that don't always go smoothly. 3rd party issues like the one with Buttner or co-ownership issues like with Ramirez aren't uncommon. That and players you want aren't always available at the right price. Some players who have several offers go elsewhere too. Transfers are far from easy and no-one can say the signings we have done show a lack of ambition.
As stupid an argument as it is, with all due respect it is a Saints-related topic. It hasn't actually broken any rules. Or do you think we should start closing down on-topic threads now?
Naa, it's just plainly obvious that he is here to get on people's nerves... I can understand the freedom of speech and that he 'hasn't broken any rules' but it's pretty obvious what his intentions are. IGNORE LIST
