Now I'm not the biggest Thatcher fan but the Liverpool fans singing "we'll all have a party when Maggie Thatcher dies" is that not a little out of order. Could that not be constituted a vile chant? I agree with the justice for the 96 but come one. Wishing death on her, regardless of what she did, is disgusting IMO. Regarding the game, it was obvious Liverpool were going to be more up for it than in previous weeks and, to be honest, they deserved more than they've got in the 3 games so far. They looked more "geed" up than they normally would have. Not a bad point but we need a win quickly now. 3 very good points at the start of the season. Let's give West Ham a stuffing!
Wasnt at the match yesterday so cannot comment on what was said, however anybody wishing someone else dead is vile in my opinion. Unless they are the Taliban of course!!!!
Sitting below the Liverpool fans yesterday and can honestly say I never heard that chant. I was fairly inebriated tho. Having said that Thatcher closed down all the major NE industries. I had friends down the pit, in the yards etc and she destroyed families/communities. I certainly won't lose any sleep when she does go.
I don't disagree with that Gil as I won't lose sleep but 6 of my mates and my parents were sat north stand and all heard it.my mother isn't one for making stuff up.
Certainly not saying it wasnt chanted just that I never heard it. Maybe drink or my slight deafness kicked in. I agree tho no reason why anybody should have to put up with chants like that.
Thatcher is a vile, greed driven miserable whore and although I too do not wish her death, I certainly wont shed any tears over her when she does go. I must admit I didn't hear the chants but likewise wouldn't have been upset if I did either. I notice that her supporters, her camp and most of all the whore herself have not come out and apologised for her role in being fully complicit in the cover up afterwards of the Hillsborough shame.
Rightly, everyone here has their own sense of morality and of what crosses a line. However, given the destruction of industry and the misery Thatcher caused to thousands of working people, I for one will be happy when she's gone. In fact maybe if the South Yorkshire Police hadn't been encouraged to beat the **** out of the miners at Orgreave by Thatcher & co., then maybe they would have been less arrogant over Hillsborough. They thought they could get away with anything.
Spot on. The Police were given impunity from prosecution in the 80's by Thatcher so she could turn them on the working classes and use them to finish the unions in her own personal war. After this, she couldn't then turn on them for Hillsborough, even though she would have known the truth way back then.
I sit in the east stand (not far from the family enclosure) and i could hardly hear the ****ers like, although on my way home i did hear something about thatcher, albeit I couldn't make it out. On a personal note I won't give a toss when she does pass away, she's a ****

Aye, anywhere that was die hard labour was systematically destroyed & communities broken up. North east, north west, south west Scotland, south Wales & parts of the midlands. Her heavy handed 'you will do as i say' attitude was a ****ing disgrace and i sincerely hope that we never see the likes of her again. I wasn't at the match so can't comment on the chants by the Liverpool supporters but if I had lost a son, daughter, father, etc, in the way that they did and then to have it covered up and then blamed for it all, i think i would probably be feeling the same way. I don't understand why people are such pussies about others wishing death on people they hate. If you really dislike someone, then surely your world is better without them, ergo you will party when they die. For a horrible **** such as Thatcher, I can't imagine a more fitting send-off than to celebrate her passing. Stephen Fry got it right about the 'offended' culture we live in. Being offended is just irrelevant. It means nothing.
