I was wondering who everyone thought should have been MOTM today.

My MOTM was without doubt mark hudson. He was an absolute tank today, his tackles were inch perfect and his heading was the best i've seen from him. I thought connelly (sp?) didn't do much which could have made hudson look better, but even so i thought he was the stand out performer.

P.s. My moment of the game was when the leeds fans and players were getting annoyed when we weren't in a rush to re-start play. They are happy when they do it themselves though.

Me and my mate came to the conclusion it was between T Smith and Huds. Amazing second half - what a goal!

I think Hudson was outstanding, like he was doing all his own work and all Turner's too. Deffo Man of the Match for me.
I thought that Maynard was only average at best. He didn't win 1 50/50 ball all afternoon. I think he needs ot get a grip. I'd love to see Whitters and Kim left and right attacking midfield. Can't wait for Blackpool game.

Huds my man of the match.
Snag, agree with what you say about Maynard but he was also instrumental in getting the free kick and penalty, so his contribution to the win was there to see. Will be awesome if he can start scoring and go in for the 50/50 balls.

Exactly. Don't think he'll ever be a throw himself in where it hurts type striker. But winning the free kick and a pen was good enough for me. He was close to scoring with his volley from about 10 yards, only needed a slightly better connection for that to have flown in.

Hudson mom is a fair shout, surprised to see Conelly being knocked, I thought he was solid. Taylor looked the weak link defensively to me.
I thought Mutch was superb second half, he upped the tempo and was everywhere driving us forward.

I think my favourite part of the game was Leeds trying to kick the **** out of us and losing the physical battle. Thought the boys battled really well.

Had a chuckle when Diouf came on to chants of "you fat bastard" fair play to him he had a good first 10 minutes before fading :)
I was also impressed with Mutch and Smith, Noone had a good game as well.

I voted for Hudson on the MOMT thread on Twitter.

Strange really though when you look at the stats..

    61 % possession
    17 shots
    7 on target
    5 corners

and we all picked a defender.

Huds was immense but Tommy for me for his work rate.

^^^ Agree with this. Smith didnt stop running all game and was unlucky not to get his first goal.

I think Smith and HH will be the unfashionable side of City do the hard work for others to get the glory, just think of the players they are keeping on the bench.

Most played well and while Maynard didn't score he won the free kick and penalty. Still looks half a yard short of pace but is physically strong and works hard.

Mutch had his best game yet, driving forward in the second half.

I know it goes against the grain but McNaughton is not up to his usual standard this season. He was caught out a couple of times as was Taylor. Hopefully they can both pick up form, if not then full back looks our weak area with no real cover either.

Agreed on Hudson though, he was magnificent and brings confidence to Connolly who is improving with every game. Will a fit Turner get straight back in the side?

No argument he played well Exodus however our award is from the Cardiff perspective and it looks like Hudson is the man!!!

Colin set your side up well but we upped the pace second half and would have got 4 or 5 were it not for Paddy.

    Hudson man of the match.

    Mutch ran him close though.

See I liked Helguson best game by far from him in a City shirt!!! Win lots of flick ons and was strong with ball at feet!

I just can't see where Veronica is going to fit in atm!! Think I rather 2 million spent on a fullback or two in hindsight!

Veronica will get his chance as will others like Kiss and Conway, as there will be injuries, suspensions and loss of form. Mind you Earnie is out in the cold and Gestede will have to be totally fit to get any sort of chance.

This is our strongest squad in my memory.

The fact we're now getting multiple options for MOTM on a regular basis is in itself great news...its early days but long may it continue <applause>
