Now playing for St Johnstone, Vine hit the late winner against Celtic. Surprised he can raise the effort...

The thing is with Rowan Vine- he was earning £10k+ a week at LR - so it was no surprise that he made little effort when released on loan to teams that in all honesty would stretch to no more than £3-5k.

Now he has something to prove.

it was a quality finish, and he set up their first! Celtic got Benfica next week - if Vine can finish them off, then how many could Benfica get?

When we signed him, he was fantastic for us. I'd watch him glide past players like they weren't there. He looked a different class everyone else on the pitch. Then he got that serious injury and was out so long he never seemed to recover his pace, confidence or work rate. I think it got to the stage that no one really believed in him when he was fit again, but as a professional footballer on those wages, you should be able to motivate yourself. It was wrong of him to activate that extra year on his contract knowing he wasn't going to play for us again, still I hope he does well up there, and finishes his career on a little high.

Lazy ****er. He's only got off his arse to get fit now he's realised there isn't a queue of clubs desperate to throw £15k a week at fat, slow centre-forward. Great for us until his injury but disgraceful in his non-attempts to get back to the player he was.

He looked an excellent player for us until that American keeper we had for a short while broke his leg in training. Pretty obvious he had big problems getting his confidence back. Lots of players never recover from a serious injury like that. Glad to see him doing well as St Johnstone anyway.

Treated badly by who? He was paid incredibly handsomely, with a promotion bonus to boot, to put no effort into getting fit. When shipped out on loan he was sent back for not having an even basic level of fitness.

Just said by QPR!! dumped him in with the kids for training, same as Joey Barton all because of a small scuffle on the pitch that happens all the time, anyway hopefully he'll be back soon, as for RV good luck to him don't understand this small minded pettiness of some fans that want both crucified, move on people

Such a load of bollocks I'm not quite sure where to start but I'll give it a go. I was one of Barton's biggest backers on here and think too much was made of what happened at City but it was not a "small scuffle that happens all the time" and the effect he had on the squad, club and fans meant that any opportunity to bomb him out had to be taken. He's nowhere near Granero or Faurlin's level and he'd do far more harm than good as a squad player.

As for Vine, he was one of many that was incredibly fortunate to be part of Paladini's supermarket sweep, throwing four year contracts on Premier League money to players that were worth two years on half that. Not that that's his fault, of course, but he then spent **** knows how long making no effort to either get fit with QPR and get back in the team or, when given the opportunity elsewhere on loan, do anything but moan and whinge and made a conscious effort in the end to do nothing more than sit on his fat arse and pick up a wage every month until his contract finally ran out.

Get your nose out of his arse ffs thicko, any sudden movement and you'll end up swallowing his balls.
Watford R not sure where to start myself such a pile of hores **** but I'll try. This is your opinion that is no more valid than mine, so stop trying to sound clever like some sort of teacher and start off with the this is a load of bollocks line.
As for Vine you do have me at a dis-advantage as Rowan never showed me his contract. Think it's a little indiscreet for you to be telling us what he was earning though, and you accompanied him to these other clubs on loan i take it?
