No I'm not saying that at all. On your assessment then, you would buy another defender and then put him on the bench? What I'm trying to say is on one hand you wanted this dominant new CB but on the other saying we can't drop Louis , you need to work out what is it you want? I think Louis does deserve a run at it, with JW who I have said many times will step up the grade as back up.
Strange i do not understand Del boys reluctance to give JW a go if either of the central pair get injured,or their form dips. May be something he has done or something Del does not like.When he has played he looks good on the ball and comfortable on the pitch. Strange i would love to now what is going through Del's mind over this.
You don't know that for sure. Del has said he needs to get another CB but does not rush out to get one. For all we know he does rate JW and see's no rush to get one in. Most of the time it is rumours that we are targeting players or our players are going out on loan. At the moment he might be playing Louis on merit to the form he is in. Whilst using JW as a sub like I think is the way forward, and then next summer get a back up for JW. I just don't understand when you said we missed out on Bikey when last season he did do well but we had Liam out suspended, Louis injured and JW confidence down a bit and Tanglefoot as another alternative. So he was what we needed at the time when confidence was all time low in the defence.
