Wenger has the means to make some changes this summer, question is - will he? http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/wenger-i-ve-funds-for-big-summer-transfer
About ****ing time Even the blind could see that experience is the one thing missing from that squad, also Wenger seems to be the only manager in Christendom that thinks you can win a title without a world class goalkeeper?????? Mon Dieu Monsieur Wenger <erm>
I think most fans accept this, I just hope Wenger does too. I think the youth project / developing players has been a success, how many other teams could have achieved as much as us on the same budget? But it hasn't won us any trophies - ultimately that is the measure of real success. I think this summer is make or break for this team, if we go another season without anything, how much longer are the likes of Fabregas, Nasri, Van Persie going to want to stick around? But the addition of one or two top experienced players could cement a winning mentality and produce years of success for this team.
We were discussing yesterday about how we need someone who can grab players by the scruff of the neck and kick some arses when the need arises
To be fair that's a good argument Piskie a proper goalkeeper another decent central defender and a partner for RVP and your be in the silverware again soon.
Ginge I think GK is okay now with Chesney between the sticks. But another top CB is a must. It's okay saying that Vermaelen and Koscielney can be a top pairing, but how many times have we seen injures wreck our best laid plans. Another DM is key too, someone with bags of experience who can boss the MF and cover the backline. I think we should have brought Vieira back when the opportunity arose, but that is water under the bridge now. and yes another CF is required. RVP can't do it all on his own and as much as I like Chamakh and Bendtner and want to see them do well, they just ain't been cutting it.
I really think we miss someone like Gilberto sitting in front of the back four, protecting them. However talented Song and Wilshere(sic) are, they are not defensive midfielders
I'm not convinced mate, he cost you the game at Spuds and arguably could have done better at Bolton on occasions. Parker would be a fantastic buy at a quite low price from the 'ammers as agree about the CF as RVP's rarely goes a season without a lengthy run out injured.
Not forgetting that Gilberto was dropped in favour of Flamini.Gilberto was allowed to leave even though Flamini's contract was running down Gilberto is still ****ing good enough to play for Brazil
Would love to see myself proved wrong but i'm not sure he will buy the players needed. That doesn't mean we we fail next season, only that it will be very difficult for us.
You can't fault the teams spirit and effort but it would be hard to see where they would find the extra they lacked this year should they not buy.
Don't say that for ****s sake It's a ****ing long journey home for me from London after a piss poor performance
