Didn't TF say its going to be within a 2 mile radius or summat? Its certainly going to be local so I don't know if the actual site location is a big deal as long as there's good access and transport links etc. No, we're not Cardiff but I would argue that if anything, we have a bigger fan-base than them. Buthead, I don't know why you don't think we'd fill a bigger stadium but I respect your point of view. Personally I think that not only is it desirable but absolutely essential if we want to progress up the League.
No you didn't, you were terrible. The only vaguely enthusiastic chant from you guys was about being champions of Europe...says a lot.
Well I don't get it as we sung very loud and our fans contributed a lot to the very good atmosphere today... 'says a lot'? Really? Lets not get started on the fact that you only sold out a day before the match started.
I'm not the only fan who thought your support was poor Bucks, it's all over twitter too. I'd be interested to find out what the other people on this thread think? You can't have been on the message boards recently, the only seats that took a while to sell out were individual ones in the "family section" that require you to have a child present- it's a flawed system
What, sack Mark Hughes ???. Two weeks seems a long time ago, great performance today and after three years of slagging of Faurlin,I thought he was excellent today along with everyone else out there. Best performance from a Rangers side for many a year.
The R´s can easily fill a bigger stadium but we are talking about 2,3 times the actual size. Progressing to the next level doesn´t necessarily mean a bigger stadium will have to come in first. If our beloved Super Hoops will move up the table the bigger stadium can follow but not vice versa. B.
Yeh I saw that it was the family section but it took a while... anyway.. I don't really get it because as I've said I honestly thought we were loud today and I'm a bit shocked. Our away fans are brilliant (a lot better than our home fans!) and everywhere we go we create a lot of noise and I know as I go to a huge amount of them! It's a shame the noise didn't travel to your end though but I know the fans in the South Africa stand heard us and the one opposite that (Ellersie or something like that). Took a quick video with the pre match atmosphere: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyRJlZoWvVs&feature=plcp
I was in the Loft and I could hear you. The " Your only here for the Champions " chant made be laugh. I thought both sets of fans were great today, it was a cracking atmosphere. Just like the good old days. Not a bad game for a 0-0 either.
In the early and mid 70s we were getting between 25k and 35k regularly. There were a lot of "floating" fans then who basically went where the best London team was. Not sure if that still happens but I'm confident that we could fill a bigger stadium over time.
Yeh even though it was 0-0 it was never dull. Yeh that was good and 'Shaun Wright Philips, we've seen you before' along with 'we don't hate you cause you're ****' made me chuckle. A good contested game and you should stay up. I look forward to going to Loftus Road next season for another cracker.
What was the "your grounds to big for you" chant about, it shows the IQ level of their fans when that song is only sung when the seats are empty.
I do not object the idea of getting a bigger and modern stadium I am just suggesting that it will have to follow some success. Nonetheless we would need a new stadium in the proximity of SB and very good results in the PL. TF - who supports WH - may dropp out and move further East before we get there.
Was just a bit of a joke... obviously but when you are considering moving grounds etc. it was a bit of fun...
A great result in the bigger picture. 0-0 against the Champions of Europe who were 100% before today's match. I thought Nelsen, in particular, has knitted our backline together and he's the big difference, such a presence. Faurlin and Granero are going to become one of the league's best midfield partnerships, so assured in possession. Chelsea edged the first half with more clear-cut chances but we more than matched them in the 2nd half. Overall an 8 out of 10 performance just lacking a cutting edge up front. Fantastic atmosphere, it's days like today that really underline the Premier League is the only place to be...
thats more like superb midfield performance best for a while, nelson was a rock & cesar looked immense in goal, listening to de mateo was he watching a different game he thought scum controlled 2nd half & we only came into it on a couple of spells, well not from where i was, the tosser.
Great atmosphere wasn't it mate? To be fair, I could hear the chelsea fans from S block, but I thought they were a bit more subdued than I was expecting. Perhaps the fact that we were much, much better than they expected was a factor. Nelson was superb and alongside him I thought Anton had his best game for us. Granero and Faurlin is some partnership eh?
TBH we (the crowd) weren't as good as last year. We would probably have won if we were. I think 95% of the Ellerslie are now Koreans wearing park shirts which might explain the difference.
There were quite a few Koreans in their Park shirts....but I have to say I thought the atmosphere was rocking!!
