Players don't seem to know how to handle Sterling. I wish he played badly now and then so we had a reason to leave him on the bench and he doesn't get burnt out but while he's our best player it's difficult to do that

 

I bet i wasn't the only person who knew Gerrard was going to hit the first man with that freekick. Charlie Adam has ruined him :L

That's good attacking play. Always thought to cut across the player once you are in front as they then can't touch you.

 

I think its because he is young and fresh and not letting bad results and referee calls get him down. Our senior players look very jaded.

 

Gerrard getting caught at a pedestrian pace yet again. Needs a right kick up the arse.

 

Sterling seems to have more of a footballing brain than most of our other players as well though

 

Sunderland have been ****e, we needed a ****ing striker to finish this ****ing game off

 

I think the ref has been really poor today, hasn't let the game flow whatsoever

 

coulda had Fletcher....Berbatov.....Carroll..........

 

Don't get me wrong, Johnson's had a good game going forward. But that shot has only work once or twice out of 50 tries and it wastes a perfectly good chance to pass into the box. It's annoying when Downing shoots over as well, it was annoying when Adam shot too. They never hit the target. So you take em to the training pitch and you don't let them leave until they can hit 10 out of 10.


Or, you just tell them to stop ****ing wasting the chance.

And yeah, Sterling's been great.

 

I think it's just he's young and has no fear. If he tried to take on his man and doesn't get past (ala first half) he doesn't give up and just tries harder (ala second half).

Still no win... the only consolation is that the thinning patch on the back of my head is smaller than the thinning patch on MONs head.

At least we got the goal but we (again) really needed to win this game, and we should have done.

FT 1-1. I'll take that, given the overall performance. Still feel that Sunderland were there for the taking in the 2nd half though

 

we need a ****ing striker, so many ****ing wasters on the pitch today. And downing wtf?? why waste 3million on Assaidi if Downing gets in ahead of him~?
