I can't tell which one is you either Steve. But credit where credit's due, you look great in local clothing .

Seriously though, I can only echo what Leo says. The work that you and others are doing out there is incredible. <applause>

Mixed feelings on the whole Kate Middleton thing. If a Prince's own hotel room is fair game, then frankly there isn't such a thing as an expectation of privacy anymore. But on the other hand, unlike the Harry photo (taken by an invited guest), this was a pap snap. Few can forget the role people that we assume are paparazzi played in Diana's final hours.

Do you seriously think this did not happen in the past and doesn't still happen? Why do you think it took so long for Parliament to be Televised and even now only selected committee rooms. All of the major decension was and still is sorted out in committees and by instructions from the Chief Whips before it gets to the main house, they cover it up by putting a notice on the documents stating the info may be harmful for the National Security. The documents and minutes of the meeting can then only be read by the general public after, 25-100years depending on the time put on the documents (usually to ensure those concern are dead and cannot face recrimenation)

It will be interesting to see what happens now as France is reputed to have the strictest privacy laws in Europe.

Oh, make no mistake, I agree that parliament is an absolute mess. Probably more so than any police force. The fact that the panel's report and Cameron's statement was considered historic proves everything you are saying: it is nigh on unprecedented for a government to give full transparency on any issue.

The one difference is that MPs (today at least) are aware of the pressure beforehand. In this instance the cover up appears to have happened after the officers who made the statements believed their involvement was over.

Yes NNW I agree with you, it is rare for this transparency but refreshing to see.

    Indeed.

As a footballing romatic, I'd like to think that one minute into the following video was the moment at which things changed. I truly believe it too: look at how ministerial and non-committal Andy Burnham's speech was, and look at the part he has played since in ensuring that we got to this stage.

afternoon all. Just getting ready to head up to Leeds to take Master H to university. In between the blubbers i'm coping fairly well <laugh>. The best bit is that we'll be 40 or so miles from Bolton so the Hornette family, minus Master H are heading across to the match tomorrow. It's been a while since Miss Hornette has been to a game, Little Miss Hornette can't wait to get there and Mr H seems to be going under sufferance. I haven't twisted his arm, i just hope we play well, otherwise i won't hear the end of it!

Thanks for the caramel latte Ak!

Lovely to hear from you Yorkie, and wow! How amazing, well done to you <applause>.

The Kate Middleton snaps should not be published, pure and simple. Apparently St James' Palace are consulting lawyers...quite right too.

So, i won't be around tomorrow, since we're heading back late and then going straight to a party...have a great day all and COYH!!!!

Looks like an inauspiscious start to Tiny's Sheff Wed career - currently trailing 0-3 at Brighton.

    Maybe we won't miss him.

Morning all - raining up here again, proving the local farmers who all wisely predicted snow to be wrong. Stuck indoors, I was whiling away an hour or so browsing the internet and came upon this picture, apparently of the Mars rover Opportunity taking a photo of its own shadow.

I wonder who built the brick patio it appears to standing on? ;)

I'm not a moon landing or space faring conspiracist: I believe what we've been told, and I believe that this picture is genuine. But I have to agree, it does look fake.

Morning all, cloudy but still dry, with sun forecast to break through tomorrow.

Asked Mme Lebon if she could come just a bit earlier tomorrow to stick her needle in me as it is that time in the month to go to dinner with my Forest friend. She normally comes soon after 9 am, but it would be better if she came at 8.30 -8.45 am. She is quite happy to come early, but tells me it will have to be by 7.00 am. <yikes>

Looks as if my day today has been taken from me. It seems that Mme and daughter have made plans including me, so no match this afternoon.:emoticon-0106-cryin When will they understand?

Morning all. It is great weather here in watford. I have never understood why people have to conspiracy in everything. Having watched the Mythbusters bust several of the conspiracies surrounding the moon landing I think it was real.

I think the same people who believe that man did not land on the moon believe the earth was created 6000 years ago and dinosaurs co-existed with man

I don't agree with the moonlanding conspiracies, but I at least understand why there is doubt. It's the 9/11 ones that really sicken me.

I'm afraid I don't begin to understand the moonlanding ones - for anyone alive in the sixties you saw the whole progression towards it- and if there ever had been doubt do the conspiracy theorists not think that America's arch rivals the USSR would have grassed them up - they monitored everything that went on so would have known if it had been faked. I can never be bothered to even argue the point with people who claim it - I confess my thoughts are - oh obviously they have an IQ of 50 or less.

Similar story here ofh - my son's band have a gig this evening in a somewhat remote venue 25 miles from here. He has to be there by 4:00pm in order to set up <grr> I suspect that I may catch the last 5-10 minutes of the match if I'm lucky. :(

Just tried twice to log in to Hornet Player on my mobile in the hope that I could listen in the car - both times crashed & rebooted my phone <wah>
