Just a thought to add to this, the mittal's will be able to get a big pay off from the club when/if we build the new stadium. Where else are we going the steel for the building of it. I would imagin that is a big carrot to hang about for now. Could be wrong but I just thught I add it anyway.

For me, both the integrity and durability of this whole Rangers dream is entirely dependent upon the Mittals.

I'm not convinced that 'whizz-bang' Tone's people are strong enough to ride the kind of financial storms we see in big spending football clubs (talking wages, stadia, training grounds etc. etc.).

The balance seems perfect atm. Tone up front leading the charge with his affable nature and all that energy. The more reserved but secure Mittals in the background ready to take over if things go pop. Couldn't have planned it better.

Having said that, it ain't always easy to sell a 30 odd percent shareholding - except to the majority interest. That for me would set a lot of alarm bells clanging.

Crossing my fingers with super glue on this one!

Absolutely. As I said previous support for Tony Blair aside the Mittals are serious and rock solid financially. What's more however badly their workers are treated at least they aren't outright mafiosi with blood on their hands like the owner of...

As for TF leaving aside the long term viability of Air Asia what's going on with his F1 cars? I don't follow the sport but they seem slower and slower with every year that passes. As for calling them Caterham that really isn't great, anyone been there? Might as well have called them Croydons and get sponsorship from Chicken Cottage.

Morning Kiwi. Neither do I mate - but I'd be surprised to see any rumour squashing in this case. Even if there were talks on share swapping between current owners going on, the values involved say there'd be a fair bit of posturing before any deal could be agreed. Wouldn't help doing that in front of a public audience, would it?

And any deal involving outsiders would have to remain even more hush-hush in view of the even greater complexities involved.

If, as most appear to think, there's no substance to the rumour, it would still be better to say nowt. Our owners have completely different interests. Could either Tony's team or the powerful Mittals really assure anyone that the latter party are happy with their 33%? Very much doubt it. Better to let sleeping dogs lay I'd say...

As for this Jones character 'leaking' the prospect of a Mittal pull out - true or otherwise, how Rangers is that?

Last year, on a much less important level, we saw Warnock rightly admonishing RicRoc (was it?) for blurting DJ's busted foot out before a game. Just cos you think you know something, doesn't mean you have to spread it. Wrong info coming out at wrong time can destabilise things - sometimes permanently.

Added to that, we see on here, people questioning others' loyalty for simply uttering adverse opinion on players and the like.

From what I see, MacIntyre and Jones both give it as major Rs one way or another. To publicly speculate on something as obviously sensitive as the Mittals leaving is crass and self-serving in the extreme. Equates to the ****ing idiot media clowns who give our strategies away during times of international conflict in my view.

Not into wars (or ITK-ing for that matter) personally but even I wouldn't dream of putting the mockers on things by opening my mouth at the wrong times. Far too much at stake.

Not surprised that Jones can't get a penalty on target let alone score. Needs to be at the other end of the pitch imo. On his performance to date, own goals are more his mark. Pot-house.

Phil Beard on BBC before the game very pointedly referred to the 'plans of the shareholders represented by Amit Bhatia and Tony Fernandes' in that order. Another good interview but I have forgotten all of it after the excitement of the game.
