Well guy's it's the day of reckoning for Camelot, he has overcame all his opponents so far and goes in unbeaten, he really should have no problems here and should go and emulate Nijinsky, the last horse to win the triple crown. What are the thoughts on the race and all other picks as usual.

I'll be backing Strong Suit tommorrow, once his chance was up last week he had an easy time of it and will have some cover hopefully tommorrow as Libranno also goes and back over 7f i think he can show us all his true colours, 5/2 seems good value to me.

Just my opinion but I think Strong Suit has been poorly campaigned this season. They have blunted his raw speed. Will get turned over again tomorrow! Just my opinion.

I completely agree with you Stick, i have been a little bemused by their dropping him down to sprint distances as for me he is a 7f horse that does his best work at the end of the 7f and so finishes well, if he was asked to race at another distance to take advantage of the racing schedule then he needs upping to a mile rather than dropping. I personally would have earmarked the best 7f races for him and the best Miles races whilst avoiding Frankel. The only thing i disagree with you on though is that i think he will win tomorrow providing last weeks race has not taken too much out of him as i think he is the best horse in that race.

I'd agree with ya on that stick, very poorly campaigned but i'm giving him another chance tommorrow, he owes me nothing and whatever happens i shant be too dissapointed as long as he comes home safe at the risk of sounding a bit like one Aidan O' Brien.

Come on King Frankel. Put us out of our misery. Wooly thinks you are King Shergar but I think that's unlikely.

    My guesses are:

    1. STB
    2. Ardent
    3. Zenyatta

What odds Wooly? Where is Shergar these days?

I think there is a very strong bet to be had tomorrow and i think it's worth taking the best early price and so i have just taken the 11-4 BOG with Victor Chandler. This horse is racing off of a mark of 67 and i think time will show that to be very leniant. He travelled very well last time out and in a race where most are very exposed this 3 times raced blueblood by Oasis dream stands out a mile. Dick Doughtwilly another from Oasis Dream went in for me today and so i will be hoping Positively can follow up. I really think this horse should be backed.

    6.20 Positively 11-4

One I like at Doncaster is in the 3.00 KALDOUN KINGDOM 14/1 E/W Needs to win here to get in to his main target the Ayr Gold cup, has a good record at the track as well.

I've been given a large sum of money in a brown envelope to place discretely at my local Coral's without any name.

I can only assume it is the one and only Supreme Arkle and would take any odds of 8/1 or better <laugh>

<laugh> Toppy. Maybe King Frankel is King Shergars young foal, perhaps he signed up last year to ponder and is now dipping his feet as he feels ready to take over from the 'ol man?! And Joe just the 300pts on Dawn Approach?

And Positively could be thrown in on his handicap debut alrite, the bet could prove a good 1 come tommorrow eve, goodluck with it.

Yeah, I think Dawn Approach is a jailcase, like Doc Hay aswell at 20s, on e/w at 40s for the Ayr Gold Cup so looking for a good run.

I was tempted to "have a grand" on Dawn Approach but the fact he hasn't encountered tomorrow's ground just about put me off. Hope he wins. Good luck.

PS I assume that's why he isn't odds on.

What's the description..surely Yielding if it's the Curragh but i really can't see it being a problem for him Ron, it's been very dry for a good 2 weeks here now bar 1 or 2 spouts of rain but the Curragh always seems that little tackier for some reason, be interesting to hear what the jocks say after the 1st.

All the way from LA have some fancies tomorrow....

Dawn Approach (hardly orginal but think the price very decent) and Strong Suit back to best distance.
    2.25 Donny, Maxentius e/w
    3.00 Rex Imperator e/w

All decent sized bets for me a some combos to boot! Hopefully wake up to a nice surprise!

    Quick write ups today

    1.45 Bath

    Rebecca Romero 17/2

Denis Coakley's C+D winner has been running very consistently of late, winning one of her last 5 starts and finishing beaten less than 1.75L in the other 4. Although she was beaten nearly 2L on her last start over C+D off this mark, this race seems to have a plethora of front runners which should ensure a very quick gallop which she will relish. I expect another bold showing from this 5 year old mare and if they go off at a frantic pace which I envisage then I think the pace may collapse around her and she should definitely go close to landing this competitive little affair at a nice price.

    2.15 Bath

    Vestibule 6/1

Eve Johnson Houghton's 2 year old filly has some pieces of very nice form that make me believe her current mark of 68 (plus a 6lb penalty) is well within her sphere of ability. On her 3rd start back in May she was beaten a neck by the now 93 rated Light Up My Life whilst in behind her that day was a subsequent Listed winning filly in Faithfully and the 4th and 5th home are now rated 78 and 93. Further to this, she put in an excellent display behind a horse who I rate quite highly in Sound of Guns who was placed in a Group 2 yesterday with the front 2 drawing 6 lengths clear (2 NTO winners). She was beaten 2.75L off marks of 71 in her two handicap starts to date but I think her taking maiden win by 6L over todays C+D on Monday will do her the world of good and will serve as a hugely important confidence booster. I feel she's more than capable of winning off her current mark and with Amy Scott taking a handy 5lb off I think she could be very difficult to peg back if allowed to dictate from the front.

    3.00 Doncaster

    Bajan Tryst 25/1

I was extremely taken by Bajan Tryst's victory under Graham Lee when I tipped him up 4 starts back when he looked to score with a lot in hand off a 4lb lower mark after meeting trouble in a race that looks pretty decent. His next start can be excused at The Curragh on unsuitable heavy ground whilst his 2nd last start at Ascot he just didn't go a yard. He showed up a bit better LTO in the Stewards Cup at Goodwood off a 1lb higher mark when finishing beaten 3.25L (he was drawn on the side to be on) and although he didn't scream a NTO winner it was definitely a step in the right direction. I find it very interesting that Graham Lee is back on for the first time since his win 4 starts ago and hopefully it signals a big run is expected by connections. From a middle sit in stall 11, I'm hoping he gets back to form in a big way today after a couple of efforts and I'm still more than convinced he can win off this mark given the authority of his last victory. He was beaten 0.5L 2nd in the race two years ago so hopefully connections have earmarked this event for him since his win at Musselburgh and he puts in a bold showing today.

Dawn Approach isn't that good and has absolutely no chance in the guineas what so ever. The horse Joseph rides today will be the better 3yo between the pair 99% sure. Leaving the race alone today but don't be shocked if CC turns the form around.
