I know this is old but I haven't seen it for years and just stumbled across it. Now this is why people think we live in a **** hole lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEXEekmhUts
I forgot East Hull only had 'less than desirable' areas, unlike West Hull and North Hull. Anlaby Rd, Hessle Rd, Gipsyville, Hawthorn Ave, Boothferry Estate, OPE, NHE, Cottingham. All deserve a mention. Plus a few others.
Yeah I loved that one myself haha I thought the same thing mate, loads of places as bad if not worse around.
i can make a similar video about every city in the world, it's just propaganda. The only ****ty thing about Hull is its reputation. Just go to portsmouth or parts of London/birmingham and you'll gladly run back to Hull.
Seen it before but still don't look at it and think 'What a ****hole' it's just Hull, how i've always known it. As said above EVERY place is the same...Sunderland, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Middlesbrough, York, Leeds, Preston, Blackburn, Manchester, London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester blah blah blah all the same.
well if thats the worst of Hull then its not that bad is it . If you tried filming that in london you would probably get stabbed for your camera innit
**** like this pisses me off. Any prick can point a camera at old industrial buildings and derelict council estates. The buildings have been replaced by shiny new ones and the estates have been rebuilt but where's the footage of these? Try filming in Harehills or Gipton in Leeds for instance. ****ing bag of ****. Feel better now.
Exactly, the video should have been called 'buildings earmarked for demolition' - as 75% of the video shows houses that are no longer there and a school that is set to be knocked down, as a new one has been built. ...as for showing the sign of the Job Centre and the court, everywhere has these, so don't get their point.
I went for a paper this morning to shake off my hangover I had a little walk I passed 6 different men all different ages all strangers to me everyone said "morning" "how do " or alright mate. It's the little things that make Hull what it is. It might have its knockers but I love the place.
Incidently I had my first Bob Carvers patty and chips for years yesterday. Felt as rough as a bears arse about an hour later. Might have been the 10 pints the night before.
Bob Carvers was never the same after they moved out of the open market. Queuing on duck boards under the canvas had certain unique appeal.
Surprised anyone still gets 'outraged' by these old-hat and tame videos, tbh. As has been said, every city in Britain has rough areas. At least ours are peopled by our own folk by and large.
