If being a ****er was a proper job, you'd be top of your profession. A natural. Suppose being a cretin helps.

Just thinking its worth a go, just to see if in the majority it works. If you don't think it will, or if you're against it, we won't do it. I just think its worth a shot

Aren't you a City fan? If so you're not very bloody optimistic.

Sorry; but you have Paddy Kenny AND El Hadji Diouf in your team... how in the holy hell can you call members of the Hull City team scum?! Diouf is a worthless piece of crap and Kenny is a druggy that should not be playing football. Plus your manager is also a hypocritical, dirty, cheating, moaning twat.

Biggest load of ball argument ever. Newcastle and Sunderland have money, great players, massive stadia, big name managers and both play in the PL. Leeds have none of that, but they used to be good. Yeah, that makes you a much bigger club doesn't it?

You get about half the fans Newcastle and Sunderland do, yet they come from much smaller cities.

You must have been keeping the noise down out of respect for the last 7 years then.

McShane and Bruce aside, you've just listed quality players who learnt their trade at a genuinely big club and as such don't have to rely on pushing everyone over like you lot do.

    Warnock
    Kenny
    Diouf
    Brown
    Becchio

Team full of genuine cheating ****s.

As for the OP, if you want to set up a thread on your board that City fans are welcome to that's fine. Personally I hardly ever venture away from our board, but these games are pretty much the only case I might make an exception for, since you lot have more fans on here than most other teams. People will still talk about it between themselves on this board. It's obvious what'll be discussed though: there'll be a few petty insults, a load of you lot saying witty things like 'Dull', I'll be moaning, particularly after the game, that your team are full of players who do nothing but cheat and some of you lot will try to justify it in one way or another. It's the same every time <laugh>

When I was younger, in my 20s in fact, up in Scotland on detachment with the RAF, a group of us decided it would be a good idea to snort buckfast off a spoon.

It wasn't a good idea at all. Felt like Id been stabbed in the head. A few hardy types even managed two nostrils.

And they still finished 6 places higher than you. And I don't actually think any of them are from Manchester so technically speaking, they're not "Scum ****s". They just had a spell at the Club.

You support L**ds so how you can call players who play for another Club scum is beyond me...

I've complained about Warnock and Diouf in the past. Personally, I don't think Warnock has done much wrong. He complains at linos and refs, but never uses personal insults. Just wants the best results for his team, and as a qualified ref, he has a right to make the calls he does.

Kenny took some paracetamol. Boo hoo. He never took a performance enhancing drug, and in my opinion, that is where the line should be drawn.

Diouf on the other hand, is a total and utter coward and there is no defending him. I'll never applaud him personally or sing his name. So I think as someone who's consistent about his identification of scum, I should be able to point out who is scum in your team. :)

You've never heard of Kenny, Becchio, McCormack, Peltier, Diouf, Brown, Gray? Fair enough if not, but that's surprising if you're a regular football fan.

You know my location of residence, Erik. I meet plenty of the dog-shaggers where I live. Admittedly these encounters were in a state of some intoxication, but they say that rat-arsedness is next to honestness, or something along those lines. The Toon fan I spoke to was telling me of how he was off to see their game at Bolton or somewhere in 10-11, but had got as far as Leeds and their train could get no further due to snow on the lines. So they decided to go to ER and see us play QPR instead. They said they were blown away by the atmosphere and wish they showed our sort of passion at SJP.

I met a big group of Sunderland fans in Toon a couple of months ago on a night out and they had mixed feelings about Leeds. One of them said I should **** off because he hated us. <laugh> But the others didn't seem to mind me so I went along with 'em. They were all saying how we had fans everywhere in the country and they wished the Mackems had a similar fanbase, but they don't have much of a catchment area south of Middlesbrough. Ended up singing Marching On Together with a couple of them and some random Southampton fan at 4am in Aspers Casino. <doh> <laugh>

Don't really know what more I can say to prove my experiences. I've also met a couple of Man U fans who've said they need a strong Leeds team back in the Premier League, in-between slurs about our fans in Turkey. Either way, all I'm trying to combat here is the original assertion that Stoke are a bigger club than Leeds these days.

    Play for scum, you're scum. :) <ok>

Exodus you're talking balls. A big club is not defined by supporters who don't go to games or trophies from 30 BC.

A big club is right now. Right now Leeds are an average Championship Club like, I don't know, Derby. I'm not saying Hull City are a massive club, but that's exactly the point. We don't go on about it to anyone who'll listen.

Additionally, the whole hating Man U thing is nonsense. I guess it's just cos you can't hate your own team so you need another random team. But really, there are a hell of a lot of good things about Man United and they're good for the English game, and it's those good things taught at Man U that have made the players you mentioned really good prospects. Not hackers like Brown, target men who 'put themselves about' like Becchio or cheats like Kenny (no we aren't just talking about drugs). The English League would genuinely be a better place without Leeds United.

Actually many of our fans do to go games local to them (hence our away support, the biggest in England). And our Irish/Norwegian/American/Aussie fans tend to fly over once or twice a season when they can.

It's not about trophies much of the time, it's about the appeal of the club. E.g. Tony Yeboah in the 90s. Our bright young players in the early 00s. The valiant struggles since relegation. The glorious moments under Simon Grayson like promotion and the Man U cup win. This sort of stuff turns fans' heads. Our last trophy was only in 1992 though, which is better than most in this age of modern, commercialized football. :)

You're confusing *team* with *club*. Big difference. Admittely you're on a similar level to us team wise. I make absolutely no hesitation in saying that.

Well that's ****e from start to finish. Man U hate us as much as we hate them. After their icy runway misfortune in Munich, the national press raved about them and said it was their destiny to dominate English football for the next decades after a series of extremely dodgy loan signing from other top-end top-flight clubs. But they failed to do that, and Leeds replaced them at the top of the pile between 65 and 75 (at which point Liverpool and Everton took over, and Man U were actually relegated for a brief spell).

Then we met each other again in the early 90s and battled it out for the top flight. We won, in the last true staging of the first division before Murdoch's millions and other factors ruined the game for good. Then Man U bought their way to silverware and success just like their intercity cousins are doing today. Both teams have had a nasty element from the hooligan days of the 70s to the Munich songs to the snide references to Revie's motor neurone disease by Reds in the 90s to their Istanbul jibes to this day. They even tried to leave the English leagues and form their own 'super league' along with other elite clubs, meaning that clubs like Leeds and Hull could never play them again. Whores.

They have contributed nothing good to the game in the modern day. They've employed utter ****s like Keane, who confessed to deliberately breaking another player's leg; Cantona, who kicked and spat at oppostion fans; Evra and De Gea who have shoplifted like petty ****s; Rooney and Giggs who have betrayed their families and yet are held in legendary esteem; Scholes whose ill-advised tackles are a source of humour; Ferguson who molested a young woman in a taxi and is a paragon of hypocrisy during every post-match interview yet is bummed by their fans without exception... I could go on. They have no morals. They are SCUM. That is why we hate them.

You can bring up Brown, Becchio and Kenny, but none of them are truly scum. Diouf is the only one capable of qualifying for that dishonour, and I openly admit that. Leeds have contributed revolutionary advances to the English league during the Revie days, along with world-class football for the time. We pioneered the best academy in English football in the 90s. We still lead the way in traditional passion from the stands to this day. LUFC have a lot to offer.

I'd love to hear Hull City's cultural tale along those lines, if you have one.

The Man U/Leeds comparison wasn't meant to be anywhere near as complex as that. It was simply that Leeds offer an ugly, cheating brand of football and have done for years, attract these distant supporters who have perfectly good local teams to support and who probably need it, and provide these silly debates about being a big club, which they eventually concede is an irrelevant thing about history alone. United have consistently represented England well in Europe and beyond, they play a good passing game and rely on width and pace rather than knocking everyone over. I have no affinity for them or anything, just it pisses me off to see fans of a really nasty club going on about another team being 'scum'.
