It seems a lot of trouble to go through to show you don't care isn't it?

I think it depends who the individual fan is, I know palace fans who will not stop rubbing it in my face if we lose tonight and then those who just see this as another league game. I bet sky will mention about it being a rivalry tonight, shame I'm having to sit in a pub to watch it :( Wish i was there but COYR!

Loads of stupid articles. Here's another.

    http://www.thisiscroydontoday.co.uk/story-16901875-detail/story.html?

What they forget is, our rivalry has increased in recent years due to the smallest league club in the football league. Their chairman carried a personal vendetta towards us, declaring his ''hatred'' for us publicly. The sheep followed suit.

Their fans- grown ''men'', decided to rush a train containing families (inc young kids) of CAFC supporters and proceed to severely assault them.

There are videos on YouTube of their (pathetic ''firm'') burning CAFC shirts and scarves in their local dive.

They copy our club with initiatives such as the Valley Express (Eagles express??). They also advertise Palace season tickets on billboards up until a mile shy of the Valley.

They became jealous of us - we were the homeless team relying on them and their ground to assist us through our worst period in our history. A plucky side they seemingly thought were punching above our weight. What they didn't anticipate was that once we returned home we would continue to grow as a club. We grew in stature, they declined. They became a forgotten club in the world of football whilst we were hailed. Did we care about Palace when we were flirting with the worlds best? No. This is when their hatred towards us started, thats the cold, hard truth.

Off topic, but they talk about Charlton in caravans, when there was a large travelling community near that bridge where Brit school is. Greenwich or....?

NORWICHFANNOTON606 - Sorry about the bet card matey!

The Palace fans were simply unbelievable last night. Upon leaving I saw some idiot (now I am pretty sure he was CPFC, but stand to be corrected) kick one of the Police horses or do something similar to it. It began bolting/ shifting etc. The female rider clearly red misted it albeit I don't blame her and told him to f**k off. He then turns and as he walks backwards starts calling her a dirty sl*g. Macho Macho Man....

Then there was some CPFC fans (only 1 or 2) that decided to start a fight with the old bill, the old bill soon steamed in and I didnt stay for the result.

This mixed with continuous flares was just unreal. Did they think that being our first derby back in the league they had to show they had become a "real firm"?! By literally blowing a load of smoke up each others a**es, sl*gging off females as they walk off and starting fights?!

3 Palace fans I know (2 being season ticket holders) said it was one of the scariest travels home they had seen and whilst one stated it was the CPFC fans that scared them the other two said the old bill were being really aggressive. They were behind me coming out and so I told them about the CPFC fans kicking off which obviously was the reason for the rise in the Police aggression.

It was no surprise to be fair. As soon as they arrived I pointed out to a mate that the group in the centre of the stand with the flares were in virtually identical outfits, dark hoodies, dark jeans. Try identifying that lot on CCTV later down the line.... Got wise to Police ID tactics from the last time they steamed a CAFC train eh?

Rivalry and banter from the stands is fine and adds to the game. But when you attend for one reason, to disrupt and cause violence, it becomes a whole new ball game. And I personally dont like it.

Why do you type the word 'You' in that at the end but use the word 'u' at the start. And surviving two administrations isn't that impressive and having your team ripped apart too, look at Portsmouth, they've survived two and are still around they even won a cup too, doing one better then getting to a cup final. We've had ups we've had downs but so have every body, we're never ever going to do it but City were in the third tier less then 20 years ago we're never going to win the prem, or at least not in the next 30 years at least but we are a team on the up. Palace I don't think are a poor team at all but the abuse some fans give seeing that they say they don't care about us is pathetic. We are two clubs in south London a rivalry will always be there but simply due to the fans I think I prefer Millwall to Palace, because they don't say they don't care about us and then when they win try to rub it in our faces, they actually have something called respect, something that many Palace fans don't have for Charlton thus we don't give it back. And calling someone a penis....really? You've resulted to year 7 play ground abuse...wow
