New signing Stephane Mbia may not make his QPR debut in Saturday’s derby against Chelsea after picking up an injury while on international duty with Cameroon.

Mbia was assessed on Friday morning and is a doubt for the game at Loftus Road, but Anton Ferdinand has been passed fit after a shoulder problem.

Samba Diakite, who recently returned to France for personal reasons, is still unavailable.

Goalkeeper Julio Cesar is available however, having received international clearance and been issued with a visa following the Brazilian’s move from Inter Milan.

Too injury prone, sell him before anyone finds out.

Someone posted up an article about M'Bia around about the time Joey's loan move to OM was still in the balance, and in it they said that one of his weaknesses - perhaps the only one - was that he was prone to sudden injuries and that he had not played more than 30 games in any season since coming to Europe; in fact only one season did he do 30, otherwise 27 games per season.

It also said that he recovered remarkably quickly though, and went straight back into the fray. So this may be one of those situations; he may be ready for Spuds, perhaps?

More susceptible to injury if he thinks he'll be playing CB...

Recovers as soon as he gets a midfield opportunity.

Bit crap though isn't it? When you get something new you want to use/play with it straight away, at least I do. Even at 51 when I buy new clothes you can guarantee I'll be wearing them next day.

Still excited about seeing Granero and Cesar at LR tomorrow. Our new boys will soon get an idea of what this means when they walk onto the pitch. I expect Hazard and Oscar may be in for a bit of an unpleasant surprise as well.

Gist of what his mate was saying in an article on here about a week ago. Is a bit injury prone and gets well grumpy when he's played at CB. Sees himself as DM but lately looking to play further forward with opportunities to have a dig a goal...

As I glibly suggested then, might as well cut to the chase and put him striker!

Anyway, let's see if he sticks or twists over his positioning demands.

This! He will be running up and down the touchline with his tracksuit on ( drainpipe style with an elasticated loop that wraps around his foot ) dying to get on when he feels the Rangers Roar!

'' Let me at 'em Sparky, let me at 'em.'' He'll be screaming.
