I`m probably going to get slated but, I think it`ll be Tate to partner Ash. Did`nt Kemy play a CB role or RB against someone last year. He said he was`nt happy there and preferred midfield, having said that it`s a team game and he should be able to slot in there OK.

I am probably being a bit liberal/experimental in picking KA and it is a risk. I would imagine Kemy will get game time against Crawley.

Does the Crawley game count as one of Chico's suspensions - will he be back against Stoke?

MasterOfNone

Good call re Augustien buddy, I hadn't considered him playing CB all but it could work.

I think that we are underestimating Tatey though. I feel he will provide adequate cover in central defense. I'm not confident about him covering full back with Davies though.

I'm wondering if Lauds will go with two sitting midfielders (Kemy and Leon) in front of the back four and leave de Guzman on the bench hoping to hit Villa on the break. Wonderful to have such quality options as KI and Hernandez to bring on when needed.

Never thought of Kemy at CB either but if a player isn't comfortable in a particular position then CB is not one of those where you should make him play there imo. Reluctantly I'd go for Tate.

Dropping Routledge or Dyer to accommodate our record signing is a non-starter as they have been fantastic and Hernandez wouldn't expect it either. I expect him to come on at some stage though.

Ki can play a holding role or a forward one so he may well start ahead of De Guzman, but I doubt it because of the latter's recent performances that have been excellent. Expect Ki to come on second half to calm things down if we're defending a lead. Kemy can also fulfil that role if needed.

Like you say, Ivor we do have options, though not many at the back.

The back 4 will most certainly be our weakest link with out of form ash who was responsible for most of the goals against wales and with Tate and Davies at the back then we must try and keep the ball more than we have done this season. We need our goal scorers in Danny and michu to take every opportunity to score as i think we may concede a few with our back 4 at the moment....

Villa have been struggling for goals too so hopefully that will continue tomorrow.
I too like the idea of Augustien partnering Ash at the back, I'm sure he'd favour playing out of position to not playing at all

Let's hope they keep this little run going...

Villa have gone 13 league matches without a win - a top-flight club record.

They have failed to win any of their last six home matches since March (D3, L3). They won only four league matches at Villa Park last season, the worst record in their 138-year history.

The Villans have not scored more than once in any of their last 11 Premier League fixtures - their longest run without managing at least two goals in a game since a 14-match streak in 1999.

So even if our defence is a bit suspect they shouldn't score more than one. And two from Michu will sort that out. I predict a 3-1 win for the Swans.

...that was before we lost Taylor, Chico and Bartley.

that was my point kangaroo <ok> we may have Tate and Davies but we cant possibly say it is our strongest defense we will be putting out against villa...hopefully villa will be as bad as they have been and we can sneak a win....If they are back to their best then we could very well concede a few and if that happens i hope Danny and michu can score a few or at least one more than them,,,,this has the potential of a high scoring game....I have been a bit disappointed with Ash so far this season and i hope he regains his form soon....

Maybe BR can have Ash for a large sum of money.

Got to be Tate if Monk can't make it .... (yikes ) ....either Hernandez or Ki will start but not both . I think maybe De Guzman & Routledge will make way for Agustien and Hernandez

This is as expected:

But this one could be a cracker, if he does come on later in the game:

Such are the options at Swansea these days, and such is the extraordinary progress the club have made since a £35,000 move for Paul Connor caused a stir in these parts only eight years ago.

Connor, remember, was the first player Swansea had paid a fee for in five years — since they stumped up all of £20,000 to lure Tommy Mutton from Bangor City in 1999.

How times have changed.

HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED? That is one of the most vastly underrated statements ever, and I mean ever !!!!!!

Just been on a Villa forum, they are very confident of a win, I hope this overconfidence infects their team!
some guy reckoned that Guzan is gonna play better than Michu. Had to chuckle at that one. <cool>
