Don't worry buddy, throwing abuse at them isn't good enough for them, they deserve far worse like ultimate torture...... being made to watch every episode of Eldorado back to back...1000 times.
It truly does. But UIR, ask yourself why it didn't go to a proper court. You have to prove intent in a crminal case, and also (as should have been the case in the 'independent' panel as Suarez was the accused and Evra was a witness, the benefit of doubt favours the accused (and yes, this SHOULD be the case even in a civil court, as our civil courts are based on Roman law, where the accused has a presumption of innocence that was NOT inherent in the Suarez witchtrial). Again, with all the single-issue pressure groups and rent-a-quote lobbyists wanting to get their faces in the paper (remember, the hysteria even got that far that a Reina advert on Spanish television was called racist and said to have been banned -it wasn't - and Oliver Holt posted a text from his hotel room in Dubai that he definitely heard a liverpool fan call an Oldham player a black b8stard - from 3000 miles away) do you REALLY think a trigger-happy DPP didn't salivate at the prospect of furthering their careers with a high profile race trial? Accept it, there was no bloody evidence to take Suarez to a real court, especially after Evra was proved to have changed his evidence and lied under oath about his reasons for not repeating the word '******' when concocting his story... Now, yes, given the events of wednesday we've got to let go now, it's done dusted, and in the scheme of things it's not worth arguing about any more. i, for one, am rather ashamed how hysterical i got over it, my only excuse being I despise the treatment Kenny dalglish has received from many quarters (especially the FA) since his stance on Hillsborough. But the cause is insignificant compared to what's just happened. I started the thread because i think I have a valid point to be debated, and perhaps the whole handshake nonsence needs to be ditched anyway. I acknowledged the Suarez business might get dragged in too, but this is my last word on it. as you rightly say, there's bigger things happened this week, and that probably encompasses two overpaid, pampered, privileged Premier league footballers calling each other names and then acting like big girls' blouses when they don't get their way.
You really are a rimlicker of the highest order, do you not get tired of being made to look like a pleb on this subject?
So he didn't shake the hands of both Cole and Terry. Don't blame him though, Terry probably has dirty hands fresh from fingering one of the new guys young wives.
By the tone of this comment, I take it you think the FA's decision is concrete and 100% factual? If so, you think they made the correct decision regarding Suarez/Evra?
The FA made an example of Suarez with less "evidence", I am only following the outcome of that case to make the assumption the same will happen in Terry's case.
I think they did, Suarez got rightly punished. All things offensive aimed at Suarez were ignored though, wrongly. Terry however, despite his obvious visual racist taunts, he also used horrible language to Anton, which is somehow ignored. Do you think Terry shouldn't be banned equally then kid?
I wouldn't be surprised if the FA are forcing the handshake but are secretly hoping the two don't shake to try and deflect the negative attention they received after Hillsboro papers were released.
Yep indeed and what can we expect! BBC Website today: "With the topic set to remain in the headlines ahead of the Premier League fixture between Liverpool and Manchester United this weekend - where Patrice Evra and Luis Suarez will meet again after the latter snubbed the former's offer of a handshake last time they met on the pitch - we want to know what your thoughts are on the pre-match ritual". So they have already set this debate up for the type of response they want. What was wrong with "where Patrice Evra and Luis Suarez will meet again after failing to shake hands last time the clubs met", or something just as descriptive but none chiding. Top marks to Joe Jordan today who demonstrated the humanity to step outside football club rivalries and speak the sentiments of any right thinking individual. Hope the weekend goes off well and for the record believe the two players will shake hands, they are both aware of the clubs efforts and will want to move on, and the personal tension should be a little less this time around, of course assuming they both start.
Judging by this weekend, Evra might not even play. However, I hope he does play and the two just shake hands and get on with it to shut the media up. Unfortunately, going with you mentioning Joe Jordan and his comments, I can see Liverpool fans giving Evra a lot of stick with it being his first visit to Anfield since all the **** (I think...?), man Utd fans will retaliate and so on, eventually escalating into 'disaster chants'... I can't see the minority of Liverpool fans getting away with it this weekend though, especially with the families being there too. Hopefully, the minority of Man Utd fans that sign these things will have taken note over the weekend too. With them being the away fans, the minority should be minimal anyway
