f.a. say it will go ahead tomorrow personally i just think it aggravates everything and should be dumped full stop.
What about pulling your hand back at the last moment, thumb on the nose, wiggle fingers and tongue out
I reckon blank the lot of them and all QPR players just walk down in a line not shaking hands and show it up for the farce it really is.............. The FA are a joke…………………
Hughes seems to be leaving it up to the players as individuals. Zamora has said he will shake Terry's hand. Am I right in thinking that apart from Ferdinand, Taarbs, Faurlin, Mackie and Hill, our match day squad will be totally different to last year? And I would only be starting 1 or 2 of these anyway. Whole handshake thing should be abandoned anyway, for all games. It's not the FA, it's the PL. the FA were (amazingly) the sensible ones in dropping the shake for the cup game. But they are a joke, nevertheless.
I know it's hardly productive input but am I the only one who really doesn't care anymore? There's only so many articles I can read about a potential handshake. How long is this going to go on for? In 5 years time when we play League 2 Chelsea in the FA Cup, are we going to have to go through this all again? Just shake hands and get on with it. The FA's decision to force them to shakehands has already removed any meaning from the gesture.
Get used to it mate, 'cos we are gonna have this debate for the foreseeable future. A load of old bollox if you ask me. Scrap it for every game and let the players shake each others hand on the final whistle IF they want to.
My kids team line up at the end of the game give each other 3 cheers and then shake hands... there is quite a lot of subtle bogey transference (and worse) goes on though. Point is though its better to end in a handshake after a battle on the pitch than it is to start with a meaningless one in the first place. What are they actually doing saying hello??? Better to end the match, leave everything that happened on pitch on the pitch, shake hands and move on as professionals. Easy for me to say though I'm unlikely to be called a black ****, but as far as I'm concerned if someone is seriously out of line on the pitch it is perfectly right you tell them what a ****er they are and don't shake their hand.
There should always be a handshake at games but individual players should have the choice to shake who's hand they want to. It's not that big a deal so I don't see why they can't just accept that a certain two players won't shake hands and just move on.
We should make the Scum feel as unwelcome as possible. Keep quiet about whether or not (to handshake) and then blank them all, giving them something to think about while the twelve man gives them an ear-bashing. COME ON U RS!
No, you're not the only one, Ux. It's all a load of old bollocks. Great idea to get the players to shake hands to show us all what a great bunch of good, sporting individuals they all are, just prior to trying to elbow each other in the face, dive over trailing legs in the hope of conning a penalty and making insulting gestures to opposition fans. It really works.
Hey, there's nothing wrong with a bit of bogey transference. It certainly beats rubbing the ball in dog **** and getting your mate to header it.
There's a lot of different opinions this time round compared to the last time we played them. A lot of guys seem to have seen the light and seen this whole thing for the farce it is. I can't stand John Terry but I can't stand the Ferdinand brothers even more.
