So, despite no concrete offer ever coming in for him, he could've got more money elsewhere.

He is a martyr, right enough - I mean, he was awfully nice to his last club and made sure they were alright.

How do you know he didn't have offers from clubs in England.

All the other players that left seemed to find clubs.

 

Name one English or European team (no-one in Scotland can pay him as much as Rangers) that put in a bid for him when he was at Rangers or Hearts.

He is not knocking back more money to stay at Rangers.

He's earning more than he's ever earned anywhere playing there yet you view it as some sort of sacrifice.

 

Regarding Lafferty normally folk who move on under Bosmans (or whatever reason that means a fee is not paid) always earn more money than players who have signed for a transfer fee. That's not even mentioning the signing on fee that they usually get as well. For that reason I would imagine he is getting slightly more money elsewhere. Whether he deserves it is another matter.

Like the rest of you I am delighted that Wallace has signed a new contract regardless of what his reasons are for doing so. In my opinion he's the best left back we have had since Arthur Numan.

Listen, it's not difficult to understand, if he left us in the summer he would now be at a Premier league or championship team.

Average wage for a player in the Swiss league is about 4,000 Euros a month.

Stephane Chapuisat was the highest paid player there when he played for Grasshoppers and he was on 30,000 Euros a month - that's about 7,500 - 8,000 EUROS a month.

If Lafferty is on more than when he was at Rangers, he'd be smashing all sorts of records.

There were reports (when Del Piero was linked with both Celtic and Sion) that Celtic were likely to offer DOUBLE the wages he would get in Switzerland.

They were ready to offer Del Piero about £660,000 annually.

That's less than Lafferty got while at Rangers.

It is extremely unlikely that Kyle Lafferty is the highest paid player in Swiss League history.

Therefore, no, he did not move for more money.
